I don't see what you mean. Mods like NEI, BoP, and Bibliocraft are still in practically every modpack, and have been so for a very long time.

I phone Kassadin from LoL to get rid of the void monsters. While he battles them and rips them apart with his badassery, I climb up the hill, kick Scourge's mangled corpse out of the way, and do the Macarena on the hill. Now mine.

I think probably, since your house follows a fairly repetitive pattern anyway (so far), it was probably enough to show us one or two videos of you building the base structure. Then you could just show us pics as you expand, so we don't have to watch the same thing over and over again. However...

This series looks promising. I look forward to it greatly. By the way, what is more efficient: to build a grindstone early or to make a tinker's smeltery as soon as you have grout?
