Summary of the problem Hermit Craft fails to boot on second launch

What is the bug? game startes the first time. and plays fine.
however when starting the game again it crashes.
does the same thing to 2 other people i know

(i could not select version 1.8.1)
some world gen has been replaced with tile.blockportalnothing.name
im currently using the invictus texture pack but others on the server also get the wierdness without the pack
