    So the server has come to a consensus to not use Monster pack as it was just causing too much lag for too many people. We decided to give Tech World a try. It's a bit lighter on the amount of stuff loading in so we'll see how that goes.

    So if I disable mods from the client side and not the server side will that impact it at all? Because there's honestly a bit of stuff in there that I will never use but my friends will. I guess I'm not sure how that relationship will be affected.

    Roger that. I was just watching a video on custom NPCs. To install this for use in multiplayer, does each player need to install it client side as well as having it installed with the server? And is it difficult to put into the Monster pack?

    I have tried disabling NEI. It does help a bit. The lag doesn't disappear though. I'll try a few more things tonight. However, the game is definitely playable thanks to your help everyone, so thank you!
