Resonance Unleashed - [Closed - merged into Resonant Rise]

Gregorius himself has the file you are looking for on his main dev post: http://forum.industrial-craft.net/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=7156

    Frame airships

Yea. Turbine was on my initial creative design, it just didn't look 'right' to me (and suffers from the same invisible block issue). In either case, both the mill and the turbine last for about ever. The nice thing about having them on-board is the ability to do some ore processing on ship with...

    Frame airships

I use that exact setup. It's currently a really simple version though, that requires manual input of lava cans / mining pipes prior to mining. Not a big deal, but begging for more automation. Since the miners with OV scanners cover a 9x9, they should be 8 blocks apart, and the platform should...

Max MJ's Per Tick for a Quarry?

Clearing out space and mining out space are two different things. At least that is the intention of the mod author, and why he changed the filler accordingly. Use the filler to clear landscape you don't care about resource-wise, or use it to ... fill. No one is pushed to anything as much as...

It's GregTech, Jim... but not as we know it

Self referential .. what? It's the one mod that goes the extra mile to integrate with everything else. How about pulverizing marble to get a catalyst to return triple iron? Lava centrifuging for electrum? Doubling IC2 outputs using said electrum? The list goes on. In fact a majority of these...

    36 HP Boiler help?

Under normal circumstances, wasting steam doesn't mean anything as a full boiler should never be shut down. On the other hand, running 48 i-steams for burst power makes me reconsider that notion. That's a lot of juice.

    Valid nether BC power

While you are pumping the Nether, might as well plop down a GT thermal / indy centrifuge next to the pump for free electrum, tin, copper, and tungsten. --------liquiduct--------- [pump][thermal gen][i-centrifuge][filter]--->loots

    Portal gun insane recipe

Creative has no such limitations, and is already provided as a game mode. This is where I think you are missing the point - the thread is about a recipe which people (and the code author) feel is somewhere on a sliding scale of <--too easy----just right---- too hard--->, like hundreds of other...

    4x4x4 6-directional frame drive

Well if space isn't a concern, style it up with some wind: If curious what's underneath, this current (creative mode) WIP is just trying to move around a simple 12x12 Miner array (covers an 18x18 mining footprint), powered by GT Thermals: Right now its just relays and frubes dumping...

    Question about boilers.

Nope, fuel is just managing the boiler heat. You are merely wasting steam (potential). On the other hand, if you had a boiler size / pressure type that matched your current steam consumption, you would indirectly be using a bit less fuel (the boiler would be smaller).

Efficient biofuel usage- boiler or engines?

Biofuel in a 36LP/HP boiler, by far. If your fuel production can keep up with the HP, there's 144MJ/t that can be used for just about anything, including EU conversion.

    Portal gun insane recipe

You already have the easy way. Just cheat the gun in. Your idea that: .. is a complete and utter fallacy. Do you realize how much time the people that actually create the code you are using consider balance? A lot. If a gaming system doesn't consider balance in design, then at some point it...

Are bio generators inefficient when their EU buffers are full?

No, not really. With 500k MJ to spare, you are running multiple crucibles / multiple geogens, which is far outstripping the rate of a single block biogen.
  14. N

Are bio generators inefficient when their EU buffers are full?

He means that they are inefficient by design and there is currently a better way to produce EU from the potential of the Biofuel, although it requires more setup. As of right now, with the power that the IC2 Geothermal Generator and GT Geotherm convert lava to EU, you are much better off...

Pulverizer is better than Macerator In GregTec

This is a frequently misguided assumption about GT. The recipe balances are a fraction of a much larger tech implementation. You should also play around with its resource production (grinder, etc) before thinking that TE negates anything in the mod - this certainly isn't an issue, especially in...

Pulverizer is better than Macerator In GregTec

KL mentioned it this morning in TS on Slow's stream, showed him the recipe.

Pulverizer is better than Macerator In GregTec

It only doesn't count if you ignore the OP which set the scenario as GT-enabled / no hard Pulverizer recipe. King Lemming is specifically making a balanced recipe for use in this setting (diamonds, steel in machine frame, etc). In either balanced scenario (standard recipes on both blocks /...

    Powering Thermal Expansion machines

Electrical Engines are Forestry (not TE) and as stated above are not an ideal solution. You can either set up a lever/redstone to turn the engines off (you don't need to touch the machines to conserve energy, they buffer and don't spend without work), or store excess energy like you do in IC2...

Forestry - Farm and Combine - Auto farm

This is where we've arrived. Where it's "easier" to automate resource exploitation from the nether with carts and portals (to lolslam 60EU/t to a BC powered wheat farm that wants a couple of MJ/t) then it is to automate peat. Good grief.

    Power Converters mod

With the petroleum generator, currently available in the Mindcrack pack. DrCeph designed it to fit between the Bio Generator and Turbine, while trying to wrestle with the current state of the Geotherm. Took a lot of constructive input from IC2 forums and here. He's done a fine job considering...
