    Bee serum quality

Is there any indication as to if this happens? Other than "Surprise, you got no offspring" down the road?

    Bee serum quality

So I potentially damaged my breeding bees by putting a non-excellent serum in them?

    Bee serum quality

Ahh. I thought I heard somewhere that the quality of the serum (depending on how bad it is) will eventually make your bees just stop reproducing after so many generations or something.

    Bee serum quality

I just accidentally injected some of my bees with "good" quality serum. I've always used maximum "excellent+" quality serums because I figured something bad would happen if I didn't. However, the beealyzer doesn't indicate anything different about them. What exactly happens if you don't use...

    What bees require special biomes?

Well. I finally got Aura bees! Now I can grab the "Fastest Productivity" serum from them. Yay! Its the only bee in the game which has this as far as I know.

    What bees require special biomes?

oh weird. I haven't heard of Escritoire before, thanks

    What bees require special biomes?

Holy cow, just LOOK at these crazy conditions! http://wiki.feed-the-beast.com/Ethereal_Bee Special Notes The Windy Bee can only be bred, if a block of vanilla Leaves is under the housing. The Watery Bee can only be bred, if a block of Water is under the housing. The Earthen Bee can only...

    What bees require special biomes?

Indeed, NEI does give this now, which really changes the game of bees if you think about it. The whole "bee database" bit with the "unknown" mutations possible from whatever combinations. I actually manually did that for about a month, and discovered quite a few mutations purely from trying...

    What bees require special biomes?

In my bee breeding efforts, I find the most irritating thing to be when I know a mutation should occur but for some reason it just doesn't, simply because I'm breeding in the wrong biome. An example would be the Ocean bee which can only be bred in an actual vanilla ocean biome (the apiary does...

Liquid Transposers: Not all the liquids?

yeah. its nice to have alternatives. I loathe the Forestry machines and their UI's. TE's machines are much more how I like to operate stuff.

Liquid Transposers: Not all the liquids?

Ahh the squeezer. Well better than nothing I guess. Squeezer uses a lot of power to operate compared to the transposer, I believe. Also, its ok the capsule is destroyed. That happens in the transposer too with wax capsules. Seems they are entirely disposable, which is fine since you get 2...

Liquid Transposers: Not all the liquids?

What about getting it back out automatically, as a liquid? Normally transposers are used for that too.

Liquid Transposers: Not all the liquids?

No I haven't tried it yet. It may work, but I had plans for a fully automated fuel capsule system that stored the fuel in a deep storage unit. Essentially unlimited fuel able in a single block that you can break and stick in your inventory, AE netork, or whatever. That, rather than making...

Liquid Transposers: Not all the liquids?

Yeah the "fuel capsule" definitely exists as an item in NEI, but the transposer won't make one, which leads me to think its more of a bug than an oversight.

    Bees and Biomes O Plenty

You know what? I found a water hive! First I searched miles and miles of river without success. I usually search for bees using the modular power suit and glider, which gives me a nice slow aerial view of the landscape. Rivers did not have them. However, after searching the ocean coast, along...

Liquid Transposers: Not all the liquids?

Its true, the transposer doesn't care what the container is. It simply won't fill anything with fuel or liquid DNA.

Liquid Transposers: Not all the liquids?

sigh. ok. no I'm not willing to suffer GT just to get that. Good to know though.

    Bees and Biomes O Plenty

Yeah I do my hive searching at night. I noticed some hives glow very dim compared to others. Tropicals are one of these. I haven't done much river searching at night though, I'll try that next.

Liquid Transposers: Not all the liquids?

I just tried filling wax capsules with buildcraft fuel, but it wouldn't go in. The fuel goes into the liquid transposer but will not go into wax capsules or tin cells. I tried seed oil with the exact same machine configuration and it works fine, but the fuel won't go. Is this intentional?

    Genetic machines power meter broken?

well as I said the machines are definitely working. They're using up power just fine (and quite fast as expected) but the internal buffer reads zero.
