[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

After each night you will be getting probably a half stack and possibly more of zombie meat. Zombie meat in a wood barrel turns into dirt. You will get between 3-5 dirt each night that method, and still have some left over to salt into zombie jerky. You can also feed in any kind of organic...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

Small stones are dropping from dust for me in 1.0.9 today. They are not that rare, so you should get several of them per stack. I tend to devote about half my dirt production to sieving for stones and seeds until I get a slab furnace and lava cobble generator going anyway. Then small stones...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

Prior to a smelter you need to create a grindstone. Using Certus dust, cobble and smoothstone, plus sticks for a handle. That will allow you to grind up iron and nickel ingots into dust which you can then combine to make invar dust and bake in your furnace. After you have a smeltery up and...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

stuffing spare saplings into the fluid transposer, then taking the dead bushes from that and zombie meat I couldn't salt into barrels to make dirty water. I had to toss my first few dirt blocks into the sieve to quickly get enough cobble to make a slab furnace to cook the dirty water. Another...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

I saw the same behavior as well on the easy map. Starting in cheat mode, with a little farmland already set up, and several new items in inventory. An invar hoe, a bucket of water and a block of grass. I figured they were there to make the easy map that little bit easier to start with. I've just...

Get the dye from flowers as normal. Sift dirt to get a grass seed. Place down a patch of dirt at least 5x5 and use the grass seed on one block to change it to grass. Wait for it to spread and bonemeal the grass till flowers appear. You also got a lot of fruit trees and food seeds that way.

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

Eh, it's beta stage at this point. I always restart when a new version comes out so I can see the changes. I don't consider any of my worlds yet to be 'the real play though'.

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

No. There is no way to get infinite water in the pack. That is a defining feature of it. You always have to balance production of water vs use. That said, remember you can turn a bucket of water into 4 fresh water usable only for cooking. But making stuff like dough is always going to cost you...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

Leaves will be more valuable as a water source once 1.0.8 arrives. I believe Iskandar is changing it so that 8 leaves in a crucible makes 1 bucket of water, instead of 50 leaves right now. That makes it the most efficient water producer in terms of resources. Two iron is enough to chop enough...

woot woot! I'm looking forward to playing the changes. Thank you for your work in this pack.

Getting an activator as a quest reward works. It's really to necessary with Ex Nihilo providing all your ores to not have it early. But if you can throw a ton of them out early on then it will trivialize part of the production curve.

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

hmm... Perhaps add more recipes for shears to us aluminum or copper? I am in the same iron position. I'm stuck with the pneumatic craft quests because I will need a ton of iron for the compression chamber. I have plenty of other resources, but iron is the serious bottleneck. I haven't made a lot...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

The food stack issue is from HungerOverhaul, not Spice of Life. Changing the config file line # Changes the stack size of food to be dependant on the food's replenishment value B:modifyFoodStackSize=true to false reverts the stack sizes on food items to 64.

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

I noticed this morning Doom, spiders are hopping over my fence in 1.0.7. and I made it the same way I did for 1.0.6. So that trick doesn't work anymore... I had a small spidermageddon at one point, with five of them hopping the fence at the same time. Fortunately I keep a doorway to the ship...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

That is how I do it. With the slab in the lower position, so mobs won't spawn on top of the fence. A quest observation: Hunger Games has you collecting rice, but no where is it mentioned how you get rice seeds. It's easy enough to check NEI for sieve recipes and see that it comes from sieving...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

That is exactly how I do it, Doom. For the same reasons. And to save resources. The spiders get caught in the indentation the fence makes, so they won't climb over the slab. In fact every morning I just walk around the top of the fence and stab the spiders, then hop down to collect the drops...

Play the Easy map then. You get a Sync chamber and a Leadstone cell to power it from the start. Just always remember to create a backup clone when you start or die, and you have basically unlimited lives. Just don't get killed by a mob right next to your sync chamber, only to be killed as soon...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

I'm guessing it was taken out for being to effective. The normal trade is 1 bucket=4 fresh water, which is still in.

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

I'm glad to hear things have been tones down since Tetshio's video. That was just crazy. If creeper explosions will damage the ship now, I wouldn't see how anyone could survive the first night...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

My defense tactic is pretty standard.. I dig a 2 deep moat, with a two high wall behind that. Then I put down a row of fences and a wood slab on top. I have to build in stages as I get enough wood, but the fence/slab combination gets spiders stuck, they won't go over that. Anything else falls in...
