I've run memtest86 since I posted this and figured out that my RAM is pretty broken so I have a feeling that was the problem.
I can't say for sure until the replacements come in but I think the issue will probably be resolved once I can swap out the faulty RAM

The MC client will randomly close while Forge is loading the mods and such. Sometimes I'm able to get to the title...
