The chunks do show as loaded, when I move my "players" chunks out of the way, I clealy see the smaller chunk of loaded chunks around spawn. And it is the real spawn.

Mystcraft ores seem to give to 'wrong' type also. Ingame you can use the forge lexicon with a mystical plinth to convert ore types.

With Redpower frames, you can scoop the blazes to whatever killing/weakening mechanism you wish, it is quite a bit faster usually. In my design, I use Computercraft melee turtles to spare myself from clicking 85 times;)
