FYI, your video and audio are CRAZY out of sync on this video. It's like you did vid at 2 or 3x speed to your audio. I'm not having any luck with the tutorial(s) either.

Did you have dynmap set to High rez with a full render? If so, that will pancake a server for quite a while while while it is rendering. You can do a low rez render, or give the admins the option to kill the rez during "peak" times and start it again to run overnights.

I'm in the same boat. Tried my old instance (7) then got error it was outdated, so I bounced to 8.1 and now I can't downgrade to 8. I'll see you guys when the server updates :)

Hmm..I just downloaded the mod pack and it looks like the new pack is running newer addons than the server. Won't let me log in :( I'll try an older version to see if that remedies the situation

Question: Would it be possible or even feasible to take all the textures that are pink boxes and revert them back to vanilla until an updated texture can be applied? Also, just as an FYI after you discover theories in Thaumcraft, you can "look" at the theory if you put it on your hotbar...

I use Bandicam, it was the only one that openly advertised pausing your recordings. That way I can cut camera, come back finish recording and upload.
