    Whats needed for FTB servers?

You could use MCPC and grab the bukkit plugin called world border, then use that to pregenerate your entire world. That way you no longer have chunk generation lag when people explore.

How to install plugins on a direwolf20 server

FTB runs on forge. Plugins need bukkit to run, but cannot be run on forge. So you need a bukkit-forge jar, which will let the modpack run through the forge side, while allowing plugins to run through bukkit, all in 1 jar. This is called MCPC+, which you can find here...

Server hosts & A host review.

Very true on the throwing ram at your server part. It doesnt always work out.. Thankfully with my servers, i have 2 modpacks (Tw2 and monster) running on just 1 OVH box. Which lets me dedicate a stupid amount of power towards my servers. This lets me do SO much more then the average person...

    Problem Monster 1.1.0 server issue

No, disabling rotarycraft would cause issues and so would updating it. Try what i said in my last post, hopefully that fixes it.

Ah, well more chunk updates can add up and slow down your tps. So try getting those end-game players to spread out a bit. Besides that and opis checks, you should be good.

I cannot exactly say what was optimized, but i will have a chat with my configuration guy and see what he did, when we have some time. As for the TPS issue, are you using SSDs? I would assume yes, so in that case, check opis. When on the server, do /opis_start then once it is finished, do...

    Problem Monster 1.1.0 server issue

I am currently dealing with this issue myself. Had around 18 people on, then had 1 guy log in and crash all but 2. I have done some digging and nailed this down to it being rotarycraft machines, gas blocks at bedrock, or...

Server hosts & A host review.

USA is international. I am in Canada and bought a server in the US, i know people in brazil that rent from OVH. So it doesnt matter where you are, as long as you order from an international website such as USA, you are good to go.

    Whats needed for FTB servers?

Before i started up my server i had a look at GP, MyTown, and towny. Although MyTown may have been better in the end, i have customized Towny to do the exact same thing MyTown does, if not better. It took a lot more work then it should have, but towny has the ability to protect everything, and...

Server hosts & A host review.

Well said. Their servers are great for doing anything on. Glad my review/notice helped.

Learning curve for a lot of people, but not all. I know that with my server a few optimizations have gone into it to give us even better performance. But all in all, the information is all available on the interwebs. Just need to go out and find it.

Did a price check. It would cost me 285$ a month to rent through you guys, with the same specs as my current server. Yet I pay 59$ a month for the same thing from my host. Only downside to my host is I cannot buy extra IPv4s. That is a whopping 226$ a month difference.

    Problem FTB Monster Rubberband Lag

1 Gig will not run monster. That said, creeperhost (In my strong opinion) SUCKS. I have rented from them once... never again. Also make sure the disks are SSD and not HDD. This will affect how the server runs, although from what you said, they are SSD. Your problem is RAM. You need at least 2.5...

If you find a host you really like, i suggest sending them a mail asking for information, such as what CPU and other key information point. It is a good way to test their support system too.

    Question about Disabling Items

I know of 2 plugins that could do this for you. 1. Tekkitcustomizer. User friendly and easy config file. 2. ItemRestrict. Less user friendly, but allows you to customize restrictions, limits, or bans, much more then #1. I would suggest loading both plugins, and taking a look at their...

    Mystcraft Admin Only

Ban the tools needed to make the world. For example, ban the book binder. As an OP you can override this, but players cannot. This allows it to be OP only. (I have the same thing on my server, it allows me to ban the creation of worlds, but allow linking books which is nice for the players)

Try some of the hosts people have mentioned above. It depends on personal preference too. You could go managed and pay (Usually, not always) insane prices. Or you could go dedicated and get some real power for your server, it just requires time and a lot of learning curves.
