    Sand-Duplicator and Thermal-Expansion Problem

As a side note, if you have all your outputs connected to a single pipe, be aware that buildcraft doesnt know which way to send things, so you can get items trying to go into the outputs of your other machines. i had stuff popping out of my machines constantly because of this.

    Sand-Duplicator and Thermal-Expansion Problem

Thermal expansion machines do not suck items out of an inventory, they have to have things passed to them through pipes. If you want a straightforward system, you can probably just hook a redpower relay up to the input side of your pulverizer, and so long as the connections match up, you should...

    Felling turtle vs. Mining turtle

At the very least, dan200's said that he will eventually get it set up so that you need the right turtle for the right job, so no more mining your trees.

    Felling turtle vs. Mining turtle

felling won't collect ores, mining might not collect wood, but im not sure. Both of them can break blocks though

    Favorite and most hated machines?

I'm definitely a CC turtle whore. I use those bastards for everything. As the admin of my small server, i have to admit i hate quarries., and to a lesser extent, buildcraft pipes. Theyre better now, but they used to be so laggy, and the pipes have lagged out my server on no fewer than five...

    Steel

Wasn't traincraft's steel added to the ore dictionary? if so, you could always try running it through a lexicon.

I'm still on FTB-Beta-A, so no frame quarries for me yet. But when i do...

    Multiple Quartz Crystal IDs?

I hear that in future updates, you'll be able to forge them into one of 17 different rings of power, and in the darkness, bind them.

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

Programmatically, it's the most efficient, and causes the least amount of extra lag due to the client having to render umpteen million flowing lava blocks. As to precisely how it works, i cant say, as i haven't looked at the code myself.

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

man, i did not expect anyone to take that quote seriously; but it is a pretty good way to describe people's perceptions of game balance being based on the scope of their experience. That aside, i do want to make the point that minecraft's game balance is very weird in the fact that it balances...

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

Build challenge: using a system powered exclusively by charcoal, construct a GT fusion reactor. Post results.

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

Charcoal's energetic output is pretty bad, tbh. But now i want to go and build a base that's fueled exclusively by a row of furnaces cycling charcoal, and fed by tree farms. A ceaseless stream of coal pumping through my whole base to every machine bank, how steampunk.

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

the WoW forums used to be quite fond of: "Rock is overpowered, paper is fine. Sincerely, scissors." sums up most arguments about game balance fairly well.

Lets See Some Bases! Give Us a Tour!

What if you had a set of sheep enclosed in a pen, and below them was a rectangle split in the middle; grass on one half, and a grid of deployers/transposers on the other. on a one-minute cycle, the floor of the pen is shifted from one section to the other via frames, at which point the...

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

Somewhat; the biggest cost in a quarry is the 11 diamonds it takes to make one, which is give or take an hour of mining, if that. If you play on a server though, a quarry can run on two solar panels and an electric engine and still finish while you're asleep, or at work. I mean, everyone who's...

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

Alternate question: given that they eliminate mining by design, should quarries be disabled, so that people actually have to leave their houses?

Oddly enough, last time i tried to use the pastebin command, it insisted i had the HTTP api disabled, despite having configured and rebooted the server specifically to allow it.
