Mod Feedback [By Request] RotaryCraft Suggestions

I think it'd be easier to just make a backup before you update. Then if the update breaks anything, you can just restore and remove the problem machinery. It'd probably be easiest to just copy or compress the entire installation folder rather than the world folder since it'll restore the old...

It's the tracking blocks from Railcraft interfering. Go in configs/railcraft/blocks.cfg and change "residual.heat" to false to disable their generation. If you want to use that feature for railcraft, just avoid walking over ground you're going to plant on. You can reset a block that's not...

Something like 3k redstone, but that's easy. The difficult part is the 200+ draconium blocks. For a rough comparison, mining all the visible draconium in the end with a fortune 3 pick, then using a draconic chest to double the yield, you only get around 80 draconium blocks. To get more you...

From Here. And to be fair, It's far more difficult to construct that high tier energy core than it is to make an Electricraft RF battery.

If you're looking to even out the power generated by a turbine without a flywheel, I would just use electricraft with a buffer auroral battery (or 4 if you want 1 GW output). It also lets you capture every bit of power produced from your reactor so you don't have to worry about waste. Just...

    Draconic Armor is broken OP

I would venture that being unkillable in PvP is a good thing and a fair objective. The goal in minecraft is not to kill everyone else, but to not be killed yourself. Why? because Minecraft is about building and ultimately PvP comes down to PvBase. The challenge is figuring out how can you...

Probably have a point there. Even blaze spawners are high enough yielding that you're never really in need of blaze rods.

Well Rotarycraft endgame really isn't as much about resources so much as it is power. I was just using bedrock coils as an example power supply but a gas turbine could power three of those setups for ~12 blaze rods per second. The problem comes from the fact that the setup works at the other...

Just ran a test, if you max the compressor and grinder you can generate ~4 blaze rods per second. Takes 18 overclocker upgrades and runs off two bedrock industrial coils at around 21 MW total.

I guess if you allowed the recipe by default then the people who would enable it would be the same people who would decide on their own to not use the exploit in the first place.

I'm not sure of the intricacies of modding, but I think a fix as simple as removing the blaze rod recipe added by IC2 would work (w/ switch in RoC config). It wouldn't really be an issue if it weren't for the fact that both the grinder and IC2 compressor have low power requirements. The...

If you're referring to the chance of breaking a wind spring, it's percent break chance = charge/65536 * 0.05 every time the charge is incremented. His source code is available on github. Relevant file. Calculating the chance of a spring breaking during charging to a certain value can be...

Mod Feedback [By Request] RotaryCraft Suggestions

Yeah, I think the only major issue is the turbine consumption. The current lubricant production is sufficient to generous for Rotarycraft itself. A relatively small automated farm can supply plenty of machinery, especially if you use Electricraft as much as I do. However, my 8x72...

2 tiers of filters, one made from sticks which breaks when full of dirt, and one made of bedrock shafts which needs to be centrifuged to clean. The filtering machine could just have a slot for the active filter and would move used filters to an output slot. Cap it so you can only have a single...

Mod Feedback [By Request] RotaryCraft Suggestions

One possibility would be a lubricant supplier block and a corresponding lubricant supply line. The line would be a dual tube (8 shaped?) and would connect several lubricated devices to a supplier block. The supplier block would take in fresh lubricant and output used lubricant keeping the...

    FTB infinity itemduct/fluiduct

Eh, I'm just paranoid I'll forget about it and have the system back up sue to some unprocessable item getting into a machine. If it's only manual then I check it each time I deposit more items.

As long as you're not dealing with an absurd amount of ores to be processed, you could always use a loop. I tend to have a few insertion pipes filling hoppers and then cycling the overflow back around to an iron pipe. This might not work for quarry levels of items, but as long as you're only...

Some questions about setting up a HTGR from Reactorcraft

Thanks for the info, I've never used centrifuges before my current reactor (2 HTGRs previously) and I'm not really familiar with their workings.

Some questions about setting up a HTGR from Reactorcraft

Yeah, it's getting 1 torque and 268 Mrads spits out 3ish dust per second which is only a hair faster than with 16 Mrads used.

Some questions about setting up a HTGR from Reactorcraft

I can't launch the game right now to check what my configuration is, but I might very well have it geared inefficiently. I'm using an auroral battery and induction motor with I think 3 CVTs in between.
