So rumors are GregT is now an IC2 dev

Sounds reasonable then. I won't lie, just reading the topic title had me worried. I used to love GT back in the 1.4.7 days, but now... But regardless of my opinions of Greg himself, I expect he would do a good job cleaning up the IC2 code. I wouldn't mind a few of his machines being added in...

    Oh no...

They don't look too bad, but it's not too exciting when BoP/EBXL add so much already. The meta-biomes idea sounds nice though, I've had more than my share of desert->arctic->jungle combinations. I'm just worried that it's going to turn into even more oceans than we have now. It seems like...

    AE level emitter question

If you only want to store 2048 wood, there's a somewhat simpler solution. Switch the DSU for 2 barrels, each with a storage bus. Prime each with at least 1 piece of wood, and raise the priority on both buses to anything higher than 1. Then set up an export bus on a furnace for wood, with default...

    Biome O' Plenty Items

It's the hotfix 0.5.9.2 release. The unnamed bug was fixed but the version number didn't change, it was rereleased as 0.5.9.2

    Biome O' Plenty Items

I haven't had any problems with 1.1.3 so far, seems stable. BoP unnamed items and ForgeMultiPart bugfixes are definitely worth an upgrade.

Rolling Machine uses power when not in use

I've used a similar setup before and it worked fine. But given the choice, I'd rather have it set up to cut the constant draw machines from power completely, at least early on (pre-boilers). Especially since the constant draw machines I have I don't really use that often, so it feels like a lot...

Some GregTech Options in the Config Files are Gone in 1.5.2

Some of the things that used to be in the configs have definitely been removed. Other things are Greg's "sense of humor", and don't do what they seem like they do (Does turning off the Forestry bronze nerf still give a hundred-and-something bronze ingots per craft? If not, it did for a while)

Rolling Machine uses power when not in use

You could just hit the end of the conduit with a wrench. Switching from output to input turns it off as well as a lever could

Rolling Machine uses power when not in use

Or if you have Additional Buildcraft Objects, just put a power switch pipe before the constant draw machines to cut them off. Ideally with a Gate on the machines set to "Has Work -> Redstone Signal" to turn on power as needed

    Power Switch Pipe...Delay?

You remember correctly, I've had to use a piston with an EU Splitter before for the same reason. A lever should force an update as well, but doesn't for some reason. A button usually works too.

    Unleashed microblocks... how?

I assume support for using covers with mod items should be coming soon. It seems like Multipart was only released in it's current state so WirelessRedstone could be released.

    Biome O' Plenty Items

Either update Unleashed to 1.1.3, or at least update BoP, there was a hotfix release to fix this issue

    Future packs config suggestion

It definitely takes multiple harvesters to cause lag on any decent computer, several range-upgraded with fertilizers running full time. Seemingly more likely on a server if more people are using harvesters. I don't know that I would call harvesters set to silent a loss of game experience...

How to autocraft tesseract with AE?

I set mine up the same way, but without the Emitter on the Magma Crucible. Unless you're making tons of tesseracts or have barely any pearls, it won't eat through that many pearls if you just let it run. If it does use all of my pearls, I just transmute a few from iron if I need them. I also...

AE storage and MFR Deep Storage Unit

True. But even there, I prefer to do wireless AE with logistic pipes. Much cheaper to build and run, the only downside is a slight delay on transfers

AE storage and MFR Deep Storage Unit

A DSU wins for a massive amount of a single item, it can hold something like 2 billion. Great for quarry trash (cobble/dirt/gravel), wood if you have a high output tree farm, etc. 64k's really aren't worth the cost most of the time, you'll typically run out of types before you run out of bytes...

AE storage and MFR Deep Storage Unit

But you would burn through quartz making storage buses, and those would be next to useless after you got a proper system set up. A rudimentary AE setup would be more like ME chests with small disks, both of which would still be useful when you got a full network going.

    Unleashed microblocks... how?

It is CB's version, it released with Unleashed and DW20_1.5. If you've ever used either RP2 or Immibis microblocks, it's basically the same as both of them. You craft a handsaw (this recipe is in NEI, go with diamond), then put the saw in the crafting grid with blocks to cut them down to...

AE storage and MFR Deep Storage Unit

Running with only storage buses is a horribly inefficient use of AE, if you were doing that you'd be better off with logistics pipes and/or routers. Most of your storage with AE should be disks, storage buses on DSUs/barrels are only good for things that you bring in massive amounts of (cobble...

    Future packs config suggestion

I'm pretty sure he meant disabling harvester sounds/particles by default, not removing the harvester itself Unless newer versions changed it, MFR harvester sounds can't be done client-side only, the server overrides it and still makes sounds (and particle effects).
