That's not true. If you have your retrievers connected via 1 tube to the tin buffer chest and that tube connects to your storage system that is farther away when the retriever requests tin it will take from the buffer chest and when it requests copper pr whatever else it will pull from...

Rock crusher is the absolute WORST machine in the game. Why? The damn non-stop NOISE. Make sure you bury it deep underground and feed it via pipes so you don't go crazy from all the flipping noise.

Only thing I can think of is set up a "buffer" chest for tin with it's inventory maintained by a manager and have your retrievers pull from it. Might be clunky, but should work. I'm sure somebody else can come up with a better idea.

I don't understand how you can be having problems. I have one AA feeding my entire base without problems. I even put a tank below I can whack with a bucket if I ever need a water bucket.

Not true. They will pull from anywhere in a chest. I use them in many places in my processing system where I don't feel like running blutricity.

I'd say you're doing it backwards.. I run my items into a barrel sorting system and have a pair of diamond chests (off of restriction tubes) at the end of the line for infrequent/rare items or things I don't want barrels of.

Relay works best, but is quite simple. You can pipe into a chest and use a filter to retrieve, that only requires a redstone pulse to activate. You could also use a sorter which requires blutricity, but gives you many options for tagging with colors. Yes, they can and work great :)

Individually the blocks look awesome, but in a large enough patch they actually look quite gaudy. I'm still trying to figure out how to incorporate them into my build without making it look funny.

You could edit the dat files with a program like nbt explorer, but you'll have to figure that out on your own and can potentially screw things up badly.

Sounds cool! I've been experimenting with a couple different looks for the interior, dark with different color stripes down the middle seems to look pretty good for the floor. I like the no mob spawn quality of them. I'll get a better idea when I'm ready for that part though.
