    It is definitely Special Mobs. It's only zombies. And yes they will also stomp farmland. Set B:passive_griefing to false if you don't want this to happen. Zombies have quite a bit of reach too, so if you want to play with it on, try to have 2-3m thick walls in areas you've secured.

    I looked it up. Seems it was the elevator block, just set that one's ID to zero in the config and hang glide like a boss.

    Just add back in OpenBlocks. I have no idea why they removed it. It seems a bad decision as the mod dev is pretty easy to get in touch with and every single thing added by openblocks is disable-able by setting its ID to zero.

    Yes, break the rolling machine, heh. Alternatively you can try using BC gates to detect if work is present and shut off whatever is powering the rolling machine when it isn't. You can use a leadstone energy cell for this purpose (with just a lever on it if you don't want to bother with BC gates).
