Side-note on the mulch thing; compost. Wheat and dirt are infinitely less of a hassle than running a moistener setup. Factorization routers really ease the automation too. Also mulch bees. :) .. and possibly Apatite bees in the new updates if what I was hearing was correct.

Well, I'm not sure what you're doing differently from me, but I just tested it to see if it'd changed. 1 kill shard + 1 kill shard = 124 kill shard. Easy to verify in a test world if you don't believe me.

I think you misunderstand the nature of the bug/exploit. If you use it, you literally only have to kill about 10 mobs. Edit: There's actually an even WORSE bug where you can get a T5 creeper shard by literally killing 2 mobs.
