    Best way to use Biofuel?

But the amount of fuel you consume for the heatup phase on a massive boiler only pays off vs even a mid size boiler after Several days of continuous operation. Unless you are actually playing for 8+ hours per day you will never hit the point where the heatup phase pays for itself vs non-boiler...

    Best way to use Biofuel?

I doubt it was an intentional troll. Some people simply took the idea of the heatup being massively inefficient too far. I will say this though, if not on a chunk-loaded server you should never touch super large boilers, they are exclusively the realm of 24/7 operation.

    Question about Applied Energistics

Try switching from the import bus to an interface and put an ejector upgrade in your router. They are a bit cheaper on the power usage and materials than import busses, and doing it that way is actually just a bit faster.

Steam Boilers vs IC2 EU generators.

I considered the problem, and I have a feeling what is going on for you with wheat farms is that you are simply wasting power. My guess is that a small wheat farm is not drawing nearly as much power as you are producing, or it is only drawing it in bursts (MFR machines have a pretty small...

Steam Boilers vs IC2 EU generators.

This is what it comes down to imho. New tends to be fun. The first time I setup the whole forestry chain for sustained output it was fun. Looking at doing it again it looks tedious. The first time I setup a steve's carts farms it was fun, now after 3 goes even that looks tedious. Now I am happy...

Steam Boilers vs IC2 EU generators.

    1. Do not feed the biofuel it into a buffer tank, this will drain your seed supplies and shunt you down to low efficiency. It runs fast enough not to need a tank. Just have it produce the fuel you need on demand, and thus it runs at exactly the speed you need. 2. It may not be net-positive on...

Steam Boilers vs IC2 EU generators.

Yes, you can automatically switch to water when out of AJ. I wont go into all the details, but it involves gates detecting tank status and pipe wire. Both liquids will flow to the fermenters on the same pipeline.

Steam Boilers vs IC2 EU generators.

Not the bio generator, the bio reactor (produces bio fuel, not consumes it). I was able to simply drop in the new zip file and delete the old one for my server.

I missed a space. It is bio reactor. it may have been added in a more recent version, I patched my MFR. It is most certainly detailed on the MFR forum post tho.

Steam Boilers vs IC2 EU generators.

One fertilized (uses barely any fertilizer) MFR farm on redwoods (you will need to tweak config to let it harvest to the top) will supply all the wood and sapplings you need to run a whole slew of boilers. Power it off the MJ you get from the boilers. Also for biofuel, the MFR bioreactor is less...

    Applied Energistic Storage Room!

The easiest way is likely to make a few larger cells first, put them into your network, then take a few of the smaller cells out and use an IO port to drain them into the new cells. From there hold the old (now empty) cell in your hand and shift+right click. This will split the storage cell into...

    Applied Energistic Storage Room!

Well, this thread already has the basics covered so lets talk about some of the more interesting things you can do or things that I did not find obvious right away. In order of usefulness. 1st. The amount of data each additional item type uses scales with the size of the disk. From cursory...

My Applied Energistics external crafting is not working?

Ok, I got 3/4 of the way through your video, but I think I see the problem (way to go not just showing the actual setup). In order to use the TE machines for auto processing it should be setup like so. One interface with the encoded pattern on one side of the machine. This side should be...

    Question about Applied Energistics

Actually, there is no reason not to use export busses. One bus handles up to 8 ore types in the queue, feed multiple busses into the same router hooked up to a wall of furnaces. Even if you backlog, it will just hold the extra ores in your storage until there is free processing room. The only...

    Question about Applied Energistics

I am going to second the router solution. I am also going to recommend that the intiial processing not use crafting at all, but rather export buses. Save crafting for things you want to require your input, export busses are great for all the automatic stuff like grinding down and smelting ores...

Casual servers (under server promotion) is the correct place. in order to form this commune it will be a server, thus server promotion.

Interesting that you read that into it. I did not mean to imply anything about slavish devotion. I meant exactly what I said, I do not mince words. You have not justified why this request should be honored and others might not need to. As such I assumed it applies in all similar situations. I...

You have failed to respond to my question. If we are to "respect" a mod author by not reflecting around their code to elicit changes to the end user, what is the difference between that and placing ketchup on my steak? In both situations the product is now in my hands, and I am altering its...

    gregtech block breaker nerf

Oh, I see, so it comes down to nothing to do with the code, respect for the mod, or anything else to do with the mod itself. Rather, it boils down to you doing exactly what a creator wants with their product at all times. I feel like this is dejavu. Chefs almost unanimously agree that ketchup on...

    gregtech block breaker nerf

Ok, I gave up reading this thread on page 6, but the overwhelming msg I got from people is that they hate every mod that changes something done by another mod. If I may, why does this not apply to mods that change vanilla? Is mojangs code somehow less worthy of respect than a modders code? If...
