Mod Feedback [By Request] RotaryCraft Suggestions

Actually, this is a much better illustration of reika's point. A gasoline engine requires a decent amount of iron, as well as a bit of gold. (Can someone give exact amounts?) This will give 124 rf/t, about equivalent to 1.5 steam dynamos (16.5 - 18 copper, 1.5 silver) while gasoline requires...

... Thinking about this, you actually do have a point here. And that fact makes me realize reika's point. Thinking about it further, there is actually a rather significant effort disparity between the mods, that i never really noticed due to using TE as an auxilery mod rather then a main one...

Anyone capable of multiplication will likely find the most difficult part of setting up a steam engine to be googling how use lava without blowing it up. And even then, at 30 rf/t for free forever almost anywhere, i forsee more then a few people using your mod solely for converting steam engines...

Because a steam engine is very easy to set up in the early game, and requires minimal automation to set up and make run infinitely. (A pump and lit netherrack) This, compared to the Thermal Expansion equivalent, the steam dynamo, which though it produces a little more then twice the energy it...

RoC already has a 25% loss with any power conversion.

Mod Feedback [By Request] RotaryCraft Suggestions

A steam engine producing 31.5 rf/t is just no. Why not just base the conversion on oil, like suggested above?

Not more realistic, about the same in realism. Which is to say, not very realistic.

I know, but why doesnt he have a way to farm sugar in just rotarycraft, considering that's where sugar is used? Plus, it just makes sense thematically. The fan harvests stuff, so why not canes?

Mod Feedback [By Request] RotaryCraft Suggestions

You and your selective realism... You already have fans not only uprooting any crop known (NOT an easy feat, considering how heavy dirt is and how large and strong root structures are) but you also have them intelligently selecting only the mature crops. Not that i dislke this mechanic, but i...

Do fans break sugar cane blocks at crop harvesting speed? If not, they should. Edit: they should also break or harvest leaves and grass.

Is it possible to generate netherrack somehow?

Dont forget to get a barrel of nether brick, too.

Lava Generator x64 and Lava Fabricators... would that work?

Railcraft steam boilers seem so underused nowadays...

Is it possible to generate netherrack somehow?

Not sure if blood magic is updated to the right version, but the ritual of the crusher can turn cobble into netherrack if supplied with one of the reagents. (Infernus or something)

This is literally the entire point of that post.

Peat vs. Other Forms of Farming

Mfr can do peat? Do you mean with harvester + planter? But, anyway, compared to back when i made this thread, there has been such a completely ridiculous increase in the number of mainstream mods that can do all of the things, as well as such an abundance of alternative energy sources that i...

You could add thorium as a secondary output for something, perhaps replacing pitchblend in coal, as well as being a very common secondary from pitchblend? Redstone ore could also be a candidate. It could then either be fissioned on its own as a weak but clean(er) and more common fuel source, or...

Peat vs. Other Forms of Farming

Whaaaat? One of my threads was necro-posted? I FEEL IMPORTANT!!! I wonder if all this math is still right with recent forestry versions... (assuming it was right to begin with) Edit: To answer the necropost, i meant 128 blocks for 10 engines. Dont ask where i got that number be cause i dont...

    Ore Stack Size

Another idea, dunno if it's possible is to make it so ore in your inventory has a smaller stacksize than anywhere else. So you can stick 8 per slot in furnaces and carts, but only store 1 per slot in your inventory.
