FTB and Forge - Curse Partnership.

Things will only get better from here on out. A unified modding architecture will help to light the fire under the behinds of people at Mojang to build support in sooner rather than later. I'm looking forward to what's next.

    Mod Lag, what causes it?

Well, TheAbstractHippo, I can see now why you chose your moniker. =) The lag goblin is indeed a healthy abstraction for all of the complex issues discussed above.

Buildcraft Wooden pipes acting strange with Smeltery

Try using liquiducts or liquid transfer pipes.

Buildcraft Wooden pipes acting strange with Smeltery

I know this probably doesn't help you, but I've seen similar behavior when attaching an unpowered wooden pipe to an unpowered refinery. What happens then is it starts infinitely pumping oil (not fuel). If I power on the refinery and then power on the pipe it will pump out fuel like it should...

    Replacement for Buildcraft Builder?

That would be awesome. :) I have visions of building entire cities with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Replacement for Buildcraft Builder?

Oh I'd love to, but I'd want to find a modpack that was (more or less) compatible with FTB's ID allocations. I know we're not going to have to worry about that forever, but still, my friends and I have built some stuff in FTB that we'd prefer not to lose.

    Replacement for Buildcraft Builder?

You guys are really whetting my appetite for 1.6.4 mods.

    Replacement for Buildcraft Builder?

Awesome, thanks a lot, Neirin. What have you replaced it with?

    Replacement for Buildcraft Builder?

Right. But not in the 1.5.2 modpacks. =)

    Replacement for Buildcraft Builder?

Just watched the tutorial. Quite intriguing. I'm happy that it eats resources.

    Replacement for Buildcraft Builder?

Thanks for the tips. Regarding ComputerCraft, it would be more or less like writing a mod to do a same thing given that you'd have to write the algorithm to scan, store, retrieve, and produce a copy of an original structure.Regardless, maybe someone has already written scripts to do just that.

    Applied Energistics

What would be awesome would be the capability for one AE network to be able to send a crafting request to a separate network.

    Replacement for Buildcraft Builder?

I know that the Buildcraft builder was disabled because it could corrupt chunks, etc. And for whatever reason, it isn't being added back to Buildcraft. My question... (Is anyone else aggravated by the fact that the name "Buildcraft" is no longer an accurate descriptor for this mod, since the...

    Applied Energistics

I'm having trouble understanding how subnetworks work, and if there's a difference between subnetworks besides just using different colored cable. And is it possible to share a MAC amongst multiple subnetworks? I can imagine a situation where players on my server might pool their resources to...

I suggested that because wrath lamps have caused a host of problems because they create invisible light source blocks.

    New Mod Packs ***Released***

OK, thanks for the note. We're sticking with the recommended version, and it's plenty good enough. Look forward to seeing 1.1.5 when it does come out.

    New Mod Packs ***Released***

What determines when a modpack's "recommended" release changes? Is it always one release behind the latest, or are there some internal criteria that are used?

    Metallurgy Discussion

I'd love to see M4 be used by Forge for its worldgen. The way this would work in my vision: * All non-vanilla ores would be disabled by default * "ore packs" would be created of logically grouped ores (plus their associated equipment) * a dependency tree between different ore packs would exist...
