Is the gate still gonna activate when my tank is far away.

If you placed the gate next to a pump and "tank empty" came up as an option, then the pump must have a small internal reservoir. I believe that's what tindin is referring to. Assuming that the pump empties its reservoir into the tesseract whenever it can (in other words, whenever the tesseract...

"The air around you suddenly becomes suffused with strange energies."

The growing of silverwood trees generates flux, so yeah that makes sense. However, every silverwood tree creates a very small pure node. Or, if there's another node very very nearby, the tree's node will merge with that node. In the long run, pure nodes gradually remove flux from the...

"The air around you suddenly becomes suffused with strange energies."

That's definitely not a dark node, though it could be an unstable node - I can't tell at that scale. However, its size makes me suspect that it is a pure node generated by growing a silverwood. Did you grow a silverwood there previously?

"The air around you suddenly becomes suffused with strange energies."

The device is a crystal core. And yes, it's quite expensive, but also much more effective than the silverwood "bread crumb trail" approach. Also, note that when the two nodes merge it's the nodes' CURRENT vis level that determines which one is dominant. If your pure node has a MAX size that is...

    RedPower for FTB 1.5

As cool as that is, it's still piston-based. Piston-based elevators can be made in vanilla (albeit with more work). Don't get me wrong, it's a nice build. But it doesn't come anywhere close to replicating frame functionality.

    RedLogic by Immibs

I'm not sure I understand your point here. Yes, there TONS of amazing builds that can be made without frames. I wouldn't deny that for a moment. But that doesn't change the fact that there are many other things which cannot be accomplished without them. I also agree that some people can get a...

    RedLogic by Immibs

Mining is definitely the most common practical use for frames, yes. But half the fun of Minecraft (maybe more than half) is building ridiculous things that are completely impractical but are just plain fun. Frames allow for a whole new world of crazy builds. Plus, there are a few other...

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

I'm not the best person to give design advice most likely, but regarding this part of your question I would suggest just using a filler. Use landmarks to mark out the area, set the filler to 'flatten' mode (I believe it's three bricks across the bottom and three glass on top of that). Then feed...

    Thoughts on MFR

I can see that. I'd be a fan. Of course, then everyone would have additional cause to complain about turtles being treated as the solution to everything...

    Thoughts on MFR

Yes yes, but I can't imagine using wireless for EVERY redstone connection I want to make. That would be just silly. True enough, but that still uses up a full block, which is what I was getting at. Don't get me wrong with that comment, I think MFR rednet is amazing. I just wanted to point out...

It is, but I have to say, I miss being able to just walk over my redstone wiring rather than needing to jump over/around it...

    RP2 Filter problem (Ultimate pack)

Right right, but that's connected to a timer and therefore should be giving redstone pulses, which is what he wants. If there's actually a steady 'on' signal being supplied to the filter, causing it to stop moving items, it's coming from somewhere else. It's possible that that signal could be...

    RP2 Filter problem (Ultimate pack)

Yeah, the "permanent redstone on mode" that you're talking about is actually the filter getting jammed. Based on what you said is being sorted there, I don't know what could be going on exactly. Maybe you're getting flint, or maybe the AE drive has accidentally been preformmated for cobble...

The use of non square/cube objects

I agree that it can be a visually odd juxtaposition. But part of that is due to the fact that these more detailed models are still new. Given time, I expect there will be an increasing number of highly-detailed objects, at which point they won't look out of place anymore.

    Conductive pipe buildup

By far the simplest solution is to replace the conductive pipes with energy conduits. You have a redstone energy cell, which means you already have the infrastructure to make them. :) EDIT: Ah, too slow...

    WTF? Electrical engines explode?

It sounds like he has copper cable going to the MFE, and the gold cable going to the electrical engines. So that's fine - unless it's more than a few blocks in distance in which case fibre cables would be preferable for both. Regardless, I agree about replacing the conductive pipes. Those...

    RP2 Filter problem (Ultimate pack)

In that case, are you 100% positive that that particular ender chest never gets anything in it that the drive isn't preformatted for? If the filter encounters even a single item that it doesn't have a valid destination for, it will get jammed.

    RP2 Filter problem (Ultimate pack)

You say the drive isn't full - but are you referring to the number of bytes or the number of item types? It's important to have space available for both or else your filter will get jammed... If you have space for both, I'm not sure what the issue is.
