If you're able to reinstall your graphics drivers on mac try that first otherwise try reinstalling the entire os. If that doesn't work go to the apple store and talk to them.

Try updating java, if it still crashes post the entire log from the console.

If you open the folder shown in the options menu there should be all the modpacks. Inside of each modpacks folder are all the configs and stuff. I would suggest opening minecraft and pressing the open texture pack folder button then going up a directory if you can't find it.

Send her your ftb folder and have her download multimc from forkk.net then use the option to import a modpack from ftb and point to the folder you sent her. You will of course have to do this every time the modpack updates.

Copy the config file from the client to the server, it should definitely work for you but if it still doesn't work for your friends also give them your config files. You will have to restart the server/client after changing configs.

Great idea, but you should backup the modpack folders so that you can restore them because otherwise you'll lose your saves.
