I was thinking more of a skyblock experience but not a skyblock and instead in a world inspired by a game. Fallout's dead and dangerous wasteland for example. You could make quite an interesting Ex Nihilo modpack out of that.

It's a great pack but I really dislike the intro voiceover. Text to speech is really lazy and sounds bad.

You install forge, and then drop whatever mods you want into your mods folder. Really, it's not that hard. There are quattuordecillions of tutorials out there.
