Haven't fought a botania boss yet, so couldn't say. Probably won't work on the mars boss, since you can only defeat it by rebounding it's TNT at it. Moon boss maybe, but I didn't bother. Manylan arrows with 48 quartz (what I had at the time) killed it in 3 shots.

I'm hating the mars dungeon quest. Just cleared #8, but only 4 of them had boss rooms. And the quest book only recorded 3 kills.

Don't you just love it when you're stumped, but figure out the problem while typing out a request for help? Somehow I'd never learned that the assembly laser/drill have to be adjacent to the platform, and can't be at diagonals like the IOs can.
