    You just place down a MFR Harvester and leave your world on until 1. The tree is harvested and your AE system is just full of wood and rubber. 2. Your computer melts entirely due to the great lag.

    That is why I do not use the redstone flux power system as I find it is simply too easy to use, would I be wrong in saying that redstone flux is transmitted similarly in comparison to fluids.

    The thing I struggle with is the constant power draw but on the other hand I like how large the MJ is when compared to EU or RF.

    Enderio all the way, I just love being able to run power, liquid fuel and a redstone signal through one block. Thermal Expansion stuff just does not have that attraction to me.

    [Engines] Which should I use?

    I would say that electrical engines coupled with IC2 splitter cables and a medley of your favourite electron tubes would make for an efficient setup because you could choose how many engines you want activated by cutting the power to certain engines.
