I was looking through the configs from Atomic Science and I saw this: "Allow Layered Turbines"=true, what does this mean?

Two questions in regards to the Atomic Science Fission Reactor: 1: What is the benefit of stacking two fission reactors on top of one another? 2: How big can you realistically make a fission reactor? I have one in my current world with an internal area of 3x3x2.

It was not my intention to pit one mod against the other. I have used IC2 for almost 2 years and I know the mod well, however I didnt know anything about UE. UE is closer to IC2 for functionality then BC so I have been using IC2 for an example for most of my questions.

I was aware of the MPS Omni-tool, I was wondering about any other tools that were available. Does UE have any generators that use BC oil or fuel for power generation?

Do any of the mods in UE add tools like the ones in IC2. Like the Drill and the Chainsaw?

Ok the turrets that the ICBM mod adds look really cool, I'll have to try them out. You may want to look into this for some of the mods that are based on the UE API: Universal Electricity

Does UE have any kind of base defense options? IC2 has the tesla coil which can be used to kill mobs.

The vanilla hopper works for me, you could also try an extractor pipe from Logistics Pipes. What is the benefit from making a fission reactor more then one block tall? It still only uses one fissionable rod for fuel and one colling rod cools the reactor regardless of size.

Is there a standard between the the main power systems? For example: 1MJ=5EU, 1MJ=3UE, or 3UE=5EU?

Well I just discovered that the Atomic Science Turbines can provide EU, MJ, or UE energy depending on what cable you have connected to the output side of the turbine.

The turbines sound interesting, however I was wondering about the differences between the IC2 nuclear reactors and the UE reactors.

How do the nuclear options between the two compare to each other? I have never tried running an IC2 Nuke before but I've seen DW20 set up a few.
