There are two quests I can see that give slime balls. The one for making an Alchemy Catalyst and one for making one of the Witchery books, but that one requires getting a bunch of the Witchery quests done first.

Copy the AgriCraft .jar file from the client mods folder to the server mods folder. It is a known issue and should hopefully be fixed when the 0.70 update comes out.

Some Thaumcraft quests are being added in the 0.70 update which @thephoenixlodge said he hopes to have out by the end of the week.

Very late, You need to have most of the quest book done to even unlock the quests for the certus quartz seeds. I believe it unlocks once you have a certain reputation as the mechanist(?). I think you need to complete all of the buildcraft quests and unlock the extreme or master infusion stone...

I forgot those existed. I haven't seen one in this pack, just the couple of green ones I found early on, and I haven't even seen one of those for quite a while. Granted I haven't been down mining or out of my base in quite a while now.

The only other early game method I know of is killing slimes. I was lucky enough to make my base in a chunk that could spawn them.

I don't really know of a better setup at the moment but when version 0.70 comes out (hopefully later this week) the fire essence will be able to be melted down in the smeltery and crucible furnace for 250mb of lava each. Then the lava can be pumped out of the smeltery quite easily with a fluid...

I believe the TiCon scythe requires the tool forge, so it's not available that early in the game. DO NOT ACTUALLY BREAK THE CROPS WITH THE TiCon SCYTHE! I noticed when I first crafted it, and then saw PurpleMentat mention it in his video, that you don't get all of the seeds back when you break...

Most mobs will despawn if you go far enough away from them. The only exceptions i know of are if you use vanilla name tags on them or capture them in a reusable/jailers safari net (which is not in this pack).

I didn't think you could get a bucket of molten Titanium. I haven't tried it myself but in a recent PurpleMentat episode he tried using tinkers and mariculture and there was no way to get it. If you have a bucket of Titanium what exactly were you using it for?

You can also put a Mariculture tank filled with lava underneath it and it well heat up. Use very little lava compared to other fuels. A full tank lasts quite a while especially if you use a lever to turn off the crucible when not in use.

They seemed very similar in height but I can run a better test when I get back to the overworld.

I just got 4 and a bit stacks of charcoal from a tall jungle tree with fortune 3 (450 lapis) on the lumber axe, compared to not quite 2 stacks without any fortune on it.

Any clue if fortune increases the drop rate with this?

I used jungle trees in a 2x2 with a netherrack lumber axe the second I had the materials for the tool forge. Horn of the canopy doesn't reach the leaves from the ground but it should still net you a ton of saplings if you let the leaves despawn naturally.

Install the fastcraft mod. It really helps with lag.

Hmm that's odd. Are you trying to run it on a server or just the client?

That's what i did, Just start the server once to generate the world folder, shut down the server and copy everything in the client world folder into the server world folder. I've copied mine back and forth a few times (because my computer won't run both with any decent fps) with no issues other...

Oh I didn't know this version had been out that long. Well now i really can't wait for the 0.7 update. Thanks for the response.
