    Ok, the complete removal and re-install of FTB and the mod pack fixed the issue. One odd thing I noticed when I tried loading my saved world, the IDs for all the Extrabiomes XL biomes were different. It was easy to changing the config but did they change some place along the way? Anyways...

    I just checked and it is already running Java 8 version 1.8. Going to try Jason's idea and just remove all FTB folders and try a fresh install of the entire thing. The odd part is I could launch Infinity or Regrowth just fine but not InfiTech.

    Agreed, most Gregtech packs that I have played keep them apart because they just don't play well with one another. So RF for RF machines and GTUE for his stuff. You could try out the power converter mod and set the ratio for RF to GTUE to a rate that would keep them balanced to allow some...

    Yeah, you have to check the config for Forestry and there you will find it is currently set to hard mode. Then when you look in the hard mode settings you will see the power multiplier is set to 4 times normal mode. I learned to look for this on the last Gregtech pack I played...

    leldra - is that taking into account that Forestry is set to "hard" mode and it's machines will require 4 times the standard amount of power? It is a very well thought out plan, I do love seeing the creatively some people can display when working out a solution to a problem.

    An update to my last post. I looked up the error and apparently it has to do with mob spawning. Seeing the only mod in the pack that adds mobs was Ender Zoo, I disabled it and tried again. This time it loaded just fine.

    ExtraBiomes XL isn't that bad. I added BOP back in but disabled all over world generation, as I really wanted the nether biomes it adds. I wish more packs would use alternate biome mods, really like Highlands.

    There needs to be another way to control these things. This is not unusual from the test worlds I have built, matter of fact I generally find 5 of them withint 1.5k block of spawn points.
