Pulverizer is better than Macerator In GregTec

You can pulverize to get coal dust. What you can't get from a pulverizer is netherrack dust (you get cobble instead). Better gold yield if you use an industrial grinder, though.

I've never done anything with bees, what's the appeal?

There are a few other nice perks that require bee products, too - using the rainmaker to start/stop rain, upgraded forestry backpacks, etc..

    Death Chest

While you're waiting for that: in twilight forest (which is in mindcrack) there's an item that allows you to keep part of your inventory on death (the charm of keeping). It allows you to keep your armor and whatever item is active on your hotbar. Four can be crafted to an improved version that...

    Non-renewable Items?

Red and yellow garnets (at least in mindcrack v8.0.1) can be produced by scrapboxes. Red and yellow garnet dust can be produced from ruby and sphalerite ore (which I don't believe are among the uu-craftable ores), not dust (and not from the ruby/sphalerite combs either, looks like), so their...

Getting oil out of oil cells

There is a way to automatically fill/empty oil cells before the fixed version, but it's painfully late-game: GT quantum tanks can do it (found that out doing creative mode testing when I ran into the same issue). It will also consume the cells if you're emptying them, though.

IC2 machines seem to cause a slowdown.

One possible cause is this: http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/ic2-api-error-with-copper-cable-electric-furnance.4900/ If that's the issue you're having, then the good news is that the dev version of IC2 has a fix for it, so the next release of IC2 should solve that particular problem.

    Oil Sands in a Centrifuge?

I'm using mindcrack v8, so that's not it - seems to be a problem on your end specifically. You have 2 oil sands in the central slot, an empty cell in the upper left slot, and nothing blocking the output slots? Have you made any changes to your copy of the modpack that might affect it (configs...

    Oil Sands in a Centrifuge?

Works fine for me: 2 oil sand + 1 empty cell -> 1 sand + 1 oil cell.

    greg tech

They're talking about upgrading the heat capacity to allow tungsten to be smelted. You only need to make 8 advanced casings to reach that point (well, you only really need 6 for tungsten, but they're made in batches of 4; 8 advanced casings is enough to reach the heat capacity for tungstensteel...

    xycraft

When I was deciding whether they were worth making, I walled myself into a 1x1x2 space so there was no other light, placed a torch at my feet, and used f3 to check the light level - they do produce a light level higher than a normal torch.

New Forestry 2.0 Farm Blocks aare a PITA

I said "no fuel input" - as in, no need to set up an automated system to harvest, process, or pipe in fuel.

I was thinking "thaumcraft infernal furnace" - no fuel input needed.

    Best Assembly Table Setup?

Possibly, but it's not an option in the modpack I'm using (mindcrack).

    Best Assembly Table Setup?

Getting the items out is easy: put a transport pipe directly under the assembly table. It won't block the lasers, but it will cause the assembly table to drop all completed items out through it. Put a powered obsidian pipe under that spot on the floor, and it will suck the items up right...

    New Thermal Expansion functionality/item: Tesseracts

The easiest way to do that would be to just modify the MJ cost of melting enderpearls in a magma crucible - that would allow you to tune the energy cost of a tesseract without adding unnecessary complexity to the crafting process.

New Forestry 2.0 Farm Blocks aare a PITA

You know, if you really want to you can (at least, using the mods in the Mindcrack pack you can) still fully automate fertilizer production. High-tier enderman soul shard for enderpearls. Grind them into dust and run them through an industrial electrolyzer for nitrogen and potassium. Combine...

Why does pretty much every mod use MJ?

Of course, the same thing applies to the advanced solar panels - they're being powered not by uranium, but by irradiated magic glowstuff from hell. But really, the reason for the advanced solar panels being so efficient in such a small package is that large arrays of solar panels were bringing...

Getting Started with Redpower Pneumatic Tube Machines

If the transposer's input isn't connected to anything, it can pick up items from a small area around it (3x3, centered on the transposer, I believe), so you can use it to get items into tubes the same way you would use an obsidian pipe to get items into BC pipes. Good for item farms using soul...

    Weirdness on MJ power network.

That is strange. My bee lab has its own power network, and I haven't seen these issues. I only recently started working with the extrabees machines, so that network is underprovisioned with generation capacity compared to their voracious appetites, but if everything has been idle for a while...
