    Suggestion for AE

Actually, I went with: 1. Stop using the minecraft forum.

    Redpower Managers and Factorization Barrels

I suspect this may be the answer. I recently set up a T5 enderman shard with a simple drop trap, transposers to pick up the enderpearls and tubes leading to a tesseract that sent them to my storage system (this was in an area away from my base because of the noise, but that already had a...

    Suggestion for AE

I have a minecraft forum account, but if I try to log in it tells me there's something wrong with my password, so I should go to account recovery. If I go to account recovery it tells me I can't recover that account because no account by that name exists, so I should register it as a new...

    Updation of Gregtech

Or maybe you should go look at this thread, where it says that a version of the ultimate pack that includes GregTech 2.90h is currently being tested for release. Edit: ninjas! I included the link, though.

    Best Nitor recipe?

Well, in that case, I don't know what's causing the difference. Maybe different versions of the included mods? Also, it's possible that they have access to the cocoa + refractory wax aspects, and just didn't know about it - which just leaves the torch difference.

    Best Nitor recipe?

I think it's at least partly due to Thaumic Bees (I'm guessing the original poster is using Mindcrack?). I know Thaumic Bees adds aspects to a lot of bee-related items and bee products - I'm pretty sure that's how the refractory wax gets the ignis. I don't know about the cocoa or the torches...

    Best Nitor recipe?

If you're using the ultimate pack, things look a little different. First, torches have 1 herba, 2 lux. So that makes it 3 torches instead of 6, and leaks 3 herba. Second, you can get potentia off of cocoa beans (2 cocoa beans instead of 2 redstone/nikolite will replace the 4 excess machina...

    Mining Turtle Help...

If you know roughly where it is, you can just have another turtle excavate the area; when it reaches the first turtle it will dig it up like any other block.

Any way of automating the moistener...

Instead of pumping the wheat directly into the moistener, you can pump it into a chest connected to it by a wooden pipe. Put an autarchic gate on the pipe set to "fuel < 25% -> energy pulser". It will pump wheat into the moistener when there is less than 1.5 stacks (because there's some delay...

Gold Energy Pipes vs. Redstone Conduits?

There may be a limit to how much they can input/output from the power network at a single point, but there doesn't seem to be a total transfer limit (or if there is, it's ridiculously high). I was playing around with power converters in creative to see their limits (I was using a quantum...

    Bee keeping not working

There are also bees that want wheat and redstone torches, and ender bees use the dragon egg. In thaumic bees, there are bees that want bookshelves, magic flowers (cinderpearl/shimmerleaf), and nodes (sometimes specific types of node).

Can someone explaine redstone energy conduits to an idiot?

It depends on what they're attached to. Some things will override the blue/orange setting (mainly engines, I believe, but I'm not sure if it's all engines, or just engines from specific mods), others won't (redstone energy cells, for example, won't - you can only put energy into one through a...

Can someone explaine redstone energy conduits to an idiot?

Input and output. If you look at the red part, it makes a little arrow that either points at what the conduit is connected to (blue) or away from it (orange). That's the direction the energy can flow. So if you're hooking it up to an energy source (engine) you want it to be pointing away. If...

Mods decided to make it impossible to make solar power!!!!

Yeah, I thought that might be trouble when I copy-pasted it from the announcement. I was just too lazy to fix it (it's probably more readable than spoiler tags in the FTB dark forum theme, though).

Mods decided to make it impossible to make solar power!!!!

I have two things to say about that: 1) Hurrah! 2) I went and looked up the announcement post... Clearly, they haven't been following discussions of GregTech (re: config options). Edit: removed original poster's formatting from quote.

    Moving AE Storage

Yeah, the biggest problem is that you need to have 1 of the item you're looking for in order to preformat for that item; it would work well for things you know in advance you might need more of (food, torches, etc.), since you could format for those before setting out, but wouldn't be so great...

    Iron tank will not combine.

Buildcraft tanks store 16 per tank. Go into creative with one of those and a bucket of lava and try it for yourself: 16 right clicks to fill it completely. Edit: for fun, I made a multiblock tank from BC tanks: the bottom layer is alternating rows of levers (switched on) and blocks. The layer...

    Moving AE Storage

If you don't want to have to intervene (there's a button in the IO port GUI that controls transfer direction), you would need separate ports for input and output. Pre-formatted cards do only accept items they're formatted for when used in an IO port.
  19. E

    Moving AE Storage

You can pipe (or whichever automation tool you prefer for this task) empty storage cells into the top/bottom of the IO port, then pipe full ones out of the side (and into an enderchest or the like). Then at the other end, you can have an IO port set up to do the reverse (full cells in the...

Mods decided to make it impossible to make solar power!!!!

It's 8 EU/t, 1 EU/t in unfavorable conditions, actually (although the output, unlike the cost, is configurable). If their internal storage contains energy (because you haven't been using it all), they can output it at 32 EU/t until it's empty.
