Yeah I would guess maybe you got another mod installed or a bad version of optifine/shaders/something like that also if u got shaders try turning it off(deleting it) cuz it glitched for me ;)

The thing that made me not believe on the shaders was because vanilla texture pack was working fine. So the only thing that popped up in my head was that there is a lightmap0.png file in the texture pack!

Well, fast explanation then, in the nether u will see it being 100% black aka "non-seeable" so it's basically really dark in the nether if you use the vanilla texture pack you will see for miles without it being too dark.. And in twilight i got some blocks in front of me making it going through...

those engines works for me so try downloading the texture pack again and see if they fixed it also, version wouldn't be too bad or if they just put a comment in this thread when they upload a new version would also be nice!
