As stated above factorisation, its one of things the mod was made for, the packager does this perfectly. You can have a few lined up doing each stage of the compression.

I think i remember the steam boiler -> steam turbine from railcraft being pretty darned efficient once set up for EU production, not really converting from MJ but its close.
