I might do something similar - but using AM2, it's much more compact and completely free - no power, or wheat required. As for mob essence I'm just gonna go for the sewer method. I can handle that much much better.

Mac, this method works only if a player is close enough, mobs won't naturally spawn without any player nearby, but Niel's method would work And then I can feed that into auto spawners to get exactly the mobs I want (wither skellies and ghasts) and those do spawn mobs even if no player is nearby...

Oh, I didn't know that! in that case I can just use the xp orbs from the essence berries directly (yes, they do drop XP orbs, only that normally they're instantly consumed by the player). Thanks a ton!

No. That creates the openBlocks liquid XP. I have already built that system and it's very simple. Oh, and I did try running the liquid XP into a unifier to make it into mob essence, no luck :/

Well that's why there are bees right? :D On the topic of bees, you can produce huge amounts of fuel and run even more boilers, refined/distilled bees are your best bet.

I'm playing on a server. I can't update mods manually, otherwise I'd add mekanism and galacticraft :P

I'm looking into ways of generating mob essence, without having to be near a spawner, I know that cursed earth does that in the most recent update to extrautilities but I play the monster pack 1.0.9. (Of course that I am able to chunkload in order to do this)

Hi, my ign is lirannl, and I'm looking for a simple server, not full of plugins, so I can actually make some awesome systems using all the mods, I'm excited to try the new mods in FTB monster, I'm sure my systems can get a lot cooler :) Oh and it's my birthday

MFR treefarm --> TE dynamos. I'm planning on getting other things, like bees --> honey --> biogas engines, and I want to avoid solars at all costs, currently successful, I'm also thinking about a HUUUUUUGE cube with all water mills, then hook up 2 factorization routers, one to put in water...
