Texture packs work with just forge, but you need optifine to have high res animated water and lava.

They're not too bad on lag, actually. I disabled lite-loader when I was playing around with fixing a bug, and only gained like 2fps. I probably will disable it permanently, though, because of the other issue.

Well I added in Optifine, that was a no brainer. May remove liteloader and add in zan's map, since liteloader has a nasty habit of wanting to force Optifine's lag meter on even if you turn it off.

Troll much? Disabling some of the EBXL biomes means you're more likely to see vanilla biomes. Most of the ones that were disabled were extremely similar to other already existing biomes, so it's not a huge deal. The only really unique ones that were removed are glacier, which can cause...

It's got gregtech on hardmode, and thermal expansion on super easy mode. Why?? Pulverizers are better than macerators, so why make them cheaper!?

It doesn't make modpacks in any way. It's basically just a forum where you can post links to modpacks you put together yourself, in a format readable by their launcher. How the fuck is that illegal?

No. An old version of FTB released a dev version of a mod that wasn't supposed to be out yet. An old version of FTB launcher compromised accounts of people who posted debug logs. Should we continue to deride the FTB team for these past mistakes?
