    As Satanicsanta says, pure bees are Awesome. I have 5 apiaries next to my node and the flux barely goes about minimal in general TC use. Useful products as well!

    There is lots of new good stuff, yes. Thaumcraft and thermal expansion have both had a great deal of work done, as has industrialcraft. Soon is really anyone's guess, but I would guess weeks not months.

    Thanks, as luck would have it there is a Silverwood just 25 or so blocks to the north west of my base. The TC lab could be right next to/on top of/under it if there is an advantage in doing so.

    I have a well established base now (1.5.2), and want to start on thaumcraft. I have never played with it before, but have heard warnings about using it in your main base. What is the safe distance, or can I mitigate the problems it causes of I just start a new room in my current facility.
