Bug or the most epic seed for oil? 1,6K buckets.

@chocorate: it's equally funny, if a village is directly below a natura-cloud. the houses which are supposed to spawn below the cloud appear ontop of the cloud on a large cobblestone pillow.

    [1.5.2] NumiRP

so, if GT recognizes nikolite and marble, I can still have my matterfab-amplifier source and my calcite dust source. nice :) and my old base wouldn't just vanish, because I built it into a volcano.

Windows .exe added graphic card, crash on start

okay, so I should rule out a problem with my setup, when I see: on board graphics card: works other graphic card: works not sorry, but that seems to be a problem with my setup. is FTB a bit problematic if there is more than one graphics card involved?

    FTB Mod Discussion: Greg-Tech

how do you have a loss of 75% if you mix 3 copper + 1 tin for 2 bronze? that makes 50%, if you assume that 1 heap of dust is the same amount every time. the worst part in gregtech is the lack of documentation (especially his wiki has some huge gaps). the best thing is: gregs "nerfs" change a...

Windows .exe added graphic card, crash on start

I have no idea, why a faster graphic card shouldn't work with minecraft... by the way: the onboad graphic is still active... additional monitors. EDIT1: I moved the window while starting (the ftb-screen) to a monitor running on the old onboard grafics card, and it started just fine...

    Pollution Mod -- Modders Needed!

why do you want to check the pollution based on the existence of machines? it would be better, if it's a system like in TC2, where every chunk had vis and taint. by using a machine (that works with the mod), the machine adds a bit pollution to the counter. and there should be some sort of...

Bug or the most epic seed for oil? 1,6K buckets.

I had a really big oil well too (sucked everything out of it, got over 6k buckets). standard 1.4.7 ultimate 1.0.1 the really interesting part of the new large oil wells: they have an oil spawner block on the bottom. like those water wells. looks like bedrock, acts like bedrock, but can be...

    Red Power 2 status?

my apologies for the lawyer accusation. regarding minecraft, I guess, their point of view is quite simple: you can mod the program as you wish and redistribute the mod. and they seem to be quite nice to modders, even if the mods contain original files. as long as the users have a valid...

    Reverse Pump?

have a double lake. a large ravine filled with lava on the bottom and with liquid glowstone on the roof. and the base floats in between :)

    Red Power 2 status?

and the irony if you look at the whole thing. there is a closed source program. and hundreds of persons are messing around in the inner parts of it, adding new stuff. and some of those people are getting angry if someone messes around with the code they added. especially eloraam, who needed...

    lagginess of dirt/grass

the answers helped a lot. I wasn't aware that the system allows just 3 updates per chunk per tick. I thought that they were all checking their situation all the time (which would be a massive performance problem).

    RedPower for FTB 1.5

would be really great... especially if marble and basalt even work with gregtech. with gregtech, those two blocks aren't just designblocks but real ressources. both are sources of calcite dust which is very important for processing iron ore. marble gives magnesium dust too, basalt gives (besides...

    lagginess of dirt/grass

since most players are aware that stuff like flowing water (hello nether pumps) or xycrafts quarz blocks (they are growing and glowing) cause some serverload, I want to ask: how is grass? grass blocks check, if adjactant blocks are dirt or grass and the lightlevel too. taking in account, that...

    Zombie Pigman farm

but for iron, there is probably nothing better than the ind. blastfurnace. iron ore + calcium carbonate cell gives 3 refined iron, directly without any intermediate steps. perfect for processing it further to steel.

    Power Converters complaining thread

as far as I know, there is no way to get upgrades out of GT-machines. I'm not sure, but I read something about active covers in 1.5, that allow similar things. but upgrades stay inside the machine and disappear when wrenching a machine.

    Power Converters complaining thread

the fusion reactor is 15x15 large. so if you stack the centrifuges, even those fit into one chunk together with the reactor. chrome is quite annoying, but since you need those centrifuges in order to supply it constantly with deuterium and tritium, I don't see a problem why you shouldn't build...

    Power Converters complaining thread

@Siro: the high end solution for that (if you have the ressources to creade IDSUs, you have the ressources for that too): set up a fusion reactor and supply it constantly with deuterium and tritium aswell as energy. take the plasma and feed it into a liquid tesseract (optional: extra tanks...

    Automatic Canning Machine Question

never thought about this, my reactors are burning thorium and plutonium. although the recipe for the near depleted cells is still active. but that will change with 1.5. and for thorium and plutonium, the autom. canningmachine works just fine. EDIT: does the canningmachine accept uraniumdust...

    Zombie Pigman farm

the absolutely first one should be the quartz grindstone. it doesn't require iron or gold or redstone and allows ore doubling at the really early stages. but it can't be automated (okay, there is one way... get a turtle to slap the crank all the time).

    Power Converters complaining thread

it is. it makes the boiler much more efficient than the standard combustion engine. with finite water, you need to think which machine consumes more or less water. even the igneous extruder isn't a good option anymore (no free stone, suddenly it costs 1 waterbucket). on the other hand, people...
