That's not what i got from his post. The way I understood it is "you need to allocate more than 1.25gb for modded 1.7 to play" If you're experiencing problems running the recommended amount of ram allocation (which is 3-4gb I believe) you have other problems.

If you can't overclock the xeon I linked with the ram i linked to 4.5ghz, something is wrong. :P As long as your support hardware is good, those chips have no problem seeing 4ghz+.
