Even our 5Ghz server would slow down at 27 users, it's just a function of the Modpack. To handle this we built a linked multi server setup where worlds have their own server and inventory is linked. This has allowed us to support many many more users without lag.

Am I reading it right that you are trying to run Monster with 1gig of ram?

Monster is a massive pack that requires major resources and constant admin work, if you are just cutting your teeth I would highly recommend a smaller pack.

Make sure to edit all of your mod configs many of the mods have the ability to turn off block damage. Example - applied energistics - the matter cannon, if you don't turn off that block damage they can turn your worlds into Swiss cheese.

We had prism mcpc edition running on unleashed and it was great! We have had issues with the 1.6 version though and have been using core protect, plan to attempt prism again soon though because it tracks modded containers and me systems.
