Quarry the arctic, make a bore. Plenty in overworld. My objection to TF is it's too resource rich, and if I auto-reset the dimension it's ripe for abuse again.

That's automated mining, isn't it? ;] On another topic, ever since we upgraded to v5 all my ReC items have no textures in inventory. They are completely blank, not even the little purple corners. I switched to default from Soartex, they are still blank! I wiped my MC instance and reinstalled it...

We had a player do that once. I ask that players not use automated mining in TF. Manual is ok if they conquer the objective.

Yeah... I have to rewrite the restore scripts, but the goal was to make it so weekly the ender dragon reset and the twilight reset so you could go adventuring. We just shutdown the server and restored from backup those dimensions. That we have fixed size dimensions has alot to do with it.

Start with an HTGR (pebble bed) reactor. There is no real danger with it, but it's more complex to setup. If it overheats, it makes lava. The later reactors have small explosions, but major radiation issues. It's not like IC2 where you'd lose a few square KM.

Another potential bug: I'm using comparators on reservoirs to trigger actions on circuits (ie: reservoir is low, turn on grinder circuit). I've consistently observed where the comparator output isn't updated to reflect the state of the reservoir until I mouse over it with WAILA or right click to...

Can you store the unix epoch time the neutron is spawned, and on update check if > 2 seconds has passed? If so immediately delete without interacting? That'd even fix the chunk loading issue. Add four bytes to each neutron isn't that big, and querying the time is negligible....

To my knowledge it uses steel blocks @ 90% block. It would be great if lead blocks were supported at 99% or similar.

So cheaty. I'm trying to do it right, and with finite water no less! Turns out a decent water supply on a liquid spiller (it's back!) supplying the north face of the container is more than enough. Also the reduced lifetime of the waste is a godsend. I think that I'll be able to manage all the...

Replying to myself... It appears you can place any waste into the short term container, however you can ONLY extract (via pipe, conduit, etc) the long term waste. So it makes a one way filter.

@Reika: Also, I know a fix is pending for the long term waste storage containers. They appear to prevent you from storing short term waste in them, which is fine. Can you confirm if the short term containers also exclude long term waste? It looks like I can put anything in them.

As I understood it, it continues to make neutrons which pile up and on next load of the chunk operate normally (ie: tons of neutrons = tons of heat = boom). But if the neutrons had a life timer, perhaps they couldn't do that.

Mod Feedback [By Request] RotaryCraft Suggestions

@Reika: Regarding the requirement to have reactors chunkloaded, have you ever had a world that wouldn't load because a reactor wasn't chunkloaded? I don't quite understand how the reactor can continue to run when the chunk isn't loaded, but regarding the buildup of neutrons, could they be given...

Power from it? Are you proposing to forward the neutrons it emits back into a reactor? I'm having a hard enough time just keeping the storage containers cool.

It can be sent to void chests, nullifiers, etc. But that's not the way it's meant to be handled.

I found the issue was an error on my part. I had waste that had fallen into the void, which didn't destruct and was making environmental radiation. Surprised me, I didn't realize the waste was void proof. Yes, I'm building them in creative over a giant hole in the world. After I cleaned that up...

Supposedly a steel block is 90% effective at blocking them. So I have EIGHT steel blocks in a row and the villager still takes damage. Multiple layers of reflectors are useless. Why would I reflect a neutron back at a reflector?

It's a creative world, the reactor is hovering at Y70 over a giant hole over the void. The villager is in a box aligned with one or more reactor cores. Yes I'm certain the neutrons are from the reactor. ;) http://imgur.com/oato5G2 I also tried fluorite blocks, but I keep my particles down so I...

Ok, so how are we supposed to build a contained reactor? I've setup a small reactor with two layers of neutron reflectors, and then a line of 8 steel blocks and my test villager at the end of the row is still taking damage, meaning neutrons are escaping. I tried replacing all eight steel...
