I was confused about this at first too, until I realized that the eating animation was because you were "charging up" the chisel to transform the block you were pointing your crosshairs at. (In other words, you can chisel blocks in the world, not just the crafting grid)

Yeah, I'd like that. I saw your comments in the MCF thread about the difficulty in 1.7 to edit blocks that may be carried and, to be honest, even if the only functionality is that it prevents endermen from picking up blocks then I'd be happy.

I prefer FZ barrels. I like the constraint of having to pipe stuff in & out of specific faces. Forces build creativity. I also like FZ for the other stuff it adds. Most notably, solar boilers; I like to use them for power for interim bases or outposts. I really like how FZ solar farms look.

When I've made a shovel the amount of XP required to level it is 360 points, but the very first time I use the shovel its level requirement will jump up to 600 points. I think even 360 is a tad much, but 600 is just silly. Surely that's not intentional?

Yes. A few versions ago the devs implemented power transmission (for MJ, EU, & RF) via LP. The power flowing through the pipes renders as a laser. It's pretty friggin sweet.
