I found that biome too and get the non texture item as well. It is such a pretty blue biome.

If you are only talking about wood and stone tools.. they do have normal durability, its only from iron (less than normal) and diamond only 1 durability

You play very similar to the way I do and btw even older player here (55). Minecraft is just a game that I enjoy fooling around with. Even my 9 yr old grandson has started to play the vanilla version, so I brought him the PS3 version as he doesn't have a PC.

There are a couple of mods out there that provide the hunger aspect in peaceful. Harder Peaceful is one, not sure if available for this version of Minecraft.

I add it to all packs I play and haven't had a problem as yet. It does wonders for my FPS on my little laptop.

Thanks for all your hard work Gideon, Pathfinder was one of the most unique packs I have ever played. I like going back to it every so often.

There is also a search feature within the forum, so really it is easy to find what you need without having to read thru all the pages.

You could spawn in a special quest book by typing /hqm edit and then shift click on that quest to complete it manually

You could read thru Caigans update notes from a few pages back, that might give you an idea of what guides to look up online, or even going thru the Modlist.

Really... why would you not use the launcher? It's there to save all the hassle of downloading all the mods, fixing all the configs etc. The pack developers put it on the launchers so you don't have to worry about it.

Immersive Engineering is in The Ferret Business which is a huge HQM pack. Not sure if the quests have been written for it as yet as the Mod was only added recently.

First you can fix this by speaking to Elmn on the docks (Command blocks MUST be enabled for this to work) then go back and talk to the NPC for that branch of the quest (Commander, Captain, Reder himself) to get back on track.

As far as I know @Welsknight Gaming has disabled the Wind Turbines. Also you can edit a post to add other stuff to it without having to make separate posts each time you think of something.

If its the Mod I am thinking of, that has a protective thing on it until you destroy a certain block in the structure, I think it was a chiseled stone block.

Once you put the code in, are you looking under the Third Party Pack Tab?

As it says on the OP, the pack is broken atm and has been pulled. They are working on a fix ASAP
