Thanks for all your help. I moved the bore and didn't get the same issue with a world anchor (Didn't try the chunk loader yet.) Maybe some sort of weird distance thing?

Java fix did NOT work. We just did a complete roll back from a previous save to 8.0.1. Lost everything done after the patch was applied. Just rolling back the patch and importing the 8.1.0 world resulted in the same problems. The 8.1.0 cannot be allowed to touch your world.

We are getting this problem too. Server is up but a single arcane bore + Chunk loader is making everything lag badly. The golems are taking ten to twenty seconds to take a step.

Just got boots of striding and was running around the over world like a ferret hopped up on pixie stix. I never even saw the lava pit in the middle of the jungle until it was too late....
