Well it would only cause problems when using any application that is graphic intensive, so predominantly gaming, but also if you were using CAD software. Too much heat though will cause all manner of issues, so you might notice a degradation in performance for a time after gaming.

This is rather odd, it looks like an id mismatch. Can you try copying the configs folder from your server to your client, completely replacing what is already there?

Have you checked the server.properties to make sure Nether is enabled? When I used to rent servers I found that some hosts disabled the nether by default.

Oh yeah heat+computer = bad things. Might be worth setting your graphics as low as possible, and maybe use Optifine to further reduce the GPU load. Failing that you could get some sticks and marshmallows and get a nice little campfire going with your PC ;)

And presumably you made no changes to ExtraBiomesXL? Remove it/Reconfigure it etc.?

When you say you downloaded the Ultimate_Server.zip do you mean you downloaded it using the FTB Launcher? I did the exact same thing as you a few days ago, but I used the FTB Launcher to download the server and it worked.

Yeah I agree with Greevir here it sounds like your GPU is being fried. As well as checking the temperature it's running at you might want to check you have the latest drivers.

Looking through your log, I presume you are using the Ultimate pack. Have you added or removed any mods and have you changed any configs?

To me this kind of looks like the server is losing connection to the internet. Do you host it locally or remotely? Also are you able to provide the server logs, as well as the console history you've provided?

It just needs to go in jarmods in the FTB launcher, no where else. Also which version of Optifine did you download?
