Is there a way to tell Geostrata to NOT generate those derpy stone block replacements (quartz, sandstone, etc)? You can't chisel them, they can't be crafted into stairs or sawed into slabs... I fail to see any point to these polluting the worldgen.

OK so you're getting this when you try to connect to a server I presume? I would guess there is a mod required by the server that you don't have turned on. Earlier this week when I was testing Monster I had a mod enabled on the server but not my client and I got a similar message when I tried to...

Try updating java to 1.7u51. Last night I could not get the launcher to connect and download the Monster 109 update, then finally launcher seemed to just lose its brain entirely. On the advice of another poster, I updated Java and my problems went away.

AH, that's it. I updated my java and the Launcher seems OK now. I don't have time to check to see if it updates my mod pack now, but it's not having all those connection errors now.

If you're referring to Options >> Force Update, that doesn't fix the broken launcher problem Esheon is talking about. Or did you mean some other force update?

you're not the only one who is having this problem -- i was trying to get the latest Monster modpack and it resulted in only the Natives forlder for me too.

I don't even have options to choose a specific download location in the launcher right now, something is hosed.

Ah yeah I wasn't thinking vanilla where Coal has no other use. I still find it easier to walk outside and chop down 10 trees for a stack of logs than find and pick the walls for a stack of coal. The mining of coal is relegated to "only if it is in my way" in vanilla for me.

I'm 100% opposite! Since coal has some uses beyond fuel, and charcoal doesn't (such as making steel with coal dust), I only use coal to make my initial batch of charcoal. Oak grows so quickly and drops so many saplings, you essentially have an immeidate and endless supply of logs. 1 coal + 8...

I wonder if Aluminum + the ore dictionary is messing it up. Have you tried removing either one of those from Output1's setup?

Uhhh, i'm going to test that tonight; i have my doubts. I mean what is the point of the battleaxe (it's not a good weapon) if the lumber axe (both are tier 2) does its job and much more?

Battleaxe will chop out 1x9 blocks of wood (vertical from your chopping point upward), including planks and bookcases so be careful :D Lumber Axe chops 3x3 blocks of wood, which I find a lot less useful, unless I'm deconstructing an abandoned mineshaft i guess :p
