@Reika Large turbine is Big Reactors? Exactly what is being displayed? Because a Big Reactors Turbine is capped at 2.000mB of steam per tick for ~24k RF/t. The maximum steam a Big Reactor can produce is 50B/t. Good for 600k RF/t using 25 Big Reactor Turbines.

No, a single rod (no matter how tall) will never go above 100% radiation because there is no other source of radiation to radiate it.

Ah, your using a 2x2 center. swapping to active cooling has an effect for you because radiation is above 100%. When using a single rod going up radiation never increases and therefor swapping to active cooling has no effect. Likewise, using coolants has no effect on fuel consumption either...

OP? No. Never realy was (just beta/bugs). Its all about setting the right config settings. And Dartcraft has very extensive config settings.

Actually, actively cooled does not increase fuel consumption (not even if full on steam and no water). So no, its not an actively cooled reactor and can indeed generate RF in the process.

Yeah, its also build upwards, so its never going to be the best reactor. This was just to show the effects of adding some coolents to the existing design.
