    1.6.2 IC2 experimental version changes.

I don't particularly dislike neither IC2 nor GT, but I'll answer anyway: Explore, construct proper cities for enslaved villagers, make ridiculous contraptions with water and vanilla redstone, breed bees, build mob farms 'just because'. In short, whatever I like. I've been doing some of these...

    Giant underground base?

It would kind of work, but if you're aiming to stay hidden you'll probably have to make the river a bit deeper, first. In my opinion buildings under anything less than 10 blocks of water stand out very clearly. A bit of experimentation in a creative world might be helpful to you. Say whut...

    Giant underground base?

By all means think while building. I was only talking about digging out large sections with stone or iron tools ;). I prevent mistakes by laying out the area first, placing torches or some other marker where I need to stop digging.

    Giant underground base?

Like Matpower123 mentioned, you can breed the bees to work under ground. The trait is called 'cave dwelling', and can be easily gotten from the rocky / stony bees, or mutated in with serums if you use the extra bees-stuff. On the occasions where I've done underground-basey-stuff, I've always...

Why Do People Always Build Boxes?

    Quiet. Circularity will be attained.

    Cocoa farming?

Yes. With an MFR harvester and an MFR planter... o_O It would probably help if you provided a description of your setup. Could be you've just placed something the wrong way somehow.

    Ores n Stuff

A shovel. Just like ores you'll need iron shovels for mining gold gravel, but for iron, tin, copper and aluminium anything will work.

    Ores n Stuff

That's because the entry on ftbwiki is copied verbatim from the minecraft wiki. Classy, eh? For early aluminium I've always had the most luck looking for aluminium gravel on the surface. It seems quite abundant in most biomes.

    The Perfect Energy System

Agreed. The whole 'if you use this cable to go more than 5 blocks, you're an idiot' gets on my nerves, too. I suppose it's an attempt to scale the real thing down to something that can be felt in the small scope of minecraft bases, but it still blows. I would point out, though, that there's a...

    The Perfect Energy System

I'll definitely second the preference for a more involved power system. AC/DC, large multiblock transformers, and importantly, a reason to use them. The present trend has been along the lines of 'there's a bad cable and a good cable, and we're going to limit your use of the good cable by making...

    Is this normal ?

Get upset that vanilla and thaumcraft were interfering with his recipes, then fix the problem by making you silk touch tall grass and run it through a blast furnace to get seeds.

    Liquid metals could be AWESOME!

MFR provides a handy liquid router if that turns out to be an issue.

    New World: Loud Booms?

I believe the new world pack has a meteor addon. Those go boom.

So rumors are GregT is now an IC2 dev

It seems likely that he's doing it because while GT was ready for 1.6 in about a week, IC2 didn't seem to be making much progress. Making a fairly popular addon must suck a bit when the base you depend on can't keep up. Anyway, as SoB has said several times, by all accounts he's there to help...

So rumors are GregT is now an IC2 dev

Because a person you don't like helped update it to 1.6 you're throwing the mod away? Sounds completely reasonable.

    Unleashed vs Unhinged (For Me)

You *could* put a few wood planks in front of your portal and a bucket of lava behind and wait for the magic to happen. Other than that you're absolutely right, though. GT is most definitely not about exploration or building - it's about grinding out stacks of metal to build the next GT...

Main crafting material for a new mod

I'm with this one. I really like it when my hypothetical mods revolve around a clever alloy or amalgam rather than adding too much to the already cluttered worldgen.

    don't freak out

If I had to live in the nether, those cliffs would look pretty tempting to me, too. It's a fun way to zap pigs and creepers, but personally I'd go with bees for large scale zapping. Mostly because I like bees and think it's fun to have danger zones scattered around the place.

What is/were the reason's people don't like xycraft?

Same here. I heard a lot of people being very excited about Xycraft coming, and then when it did, it didn't do anything except fill the world with useless ore furnished with some of the worst texture work I've ever seen. Then I heard some people say that it's mostly in for the decorative blocks...

[DW20 1.5.2 Beta Pack] Is this a bug or did TConstruct change it?

Whoops, sorry. I was using an older version than I thought, I'll have to play around with the new one a bit.
