The Thermal Expansion saw mill can give you resin too. I start with that one and switch to the GT one when I get more advanced because it has a better return.

Can't be done. Melee turtles always grab the loot from their kills if it lands close enough. You could use water to push the loot to the two turtles you want to pick the stuff up, then your cobble situation might work.

Well, the mixed metal ingots do require the rolling machine. So either IC2 was changed, or GregTech changed it. I suppose RailCraft could have made the change but I didn't think RailCraft made those sorts of changes to other mods recipes.

Nope just tested. You can build the nether portal in any age but it WILL NOT LIGHT. You can cheat in some portal anywhere. So if that is the case, the OP was probably being trolled by server admins.

Nah, loads of machines will give you resin from the rubber logs. I often use an old school Forestry tree farm to farm IC2 rubber trees then stick them in a sawmill to get the resin and burn the wood for energy.

I just watched CyanideEpic on TwitchTv make a dense ore world and when he got down to diamond level 12-14 a 3 high tunnel about 200M long netted him over a stack of diamonds. I would say it was working. Though what he really wanted were emeralds and he only found about 7.

My frame mining machine stopped near a wisp spawner once, and when I went out to investigate there were dozens of wisps around. The only thing I could think of was the chunk loader on the machine allowed the wisps to spawn and as they flew away from the spawner, more would spawn.
