Very good hammer.. That's fast and lasts long?

I know. But @KayteeMunster is playing Unleashed (which is 1.5.2?). The IC2 upgrade should still be in there, it was removed in early 1.6.4.

Very good hammer.. That's fast and lasts long?

Check if you can add the IC2 upgrade to the tool. I think it was a battery and a circuit. It will run on IC2 power, gets resupplied from an Advanced Jetpack or MPS Armor and you can recharge it in an MFE or MFSU if necessary. For some reason the IC2 power upgrade also lasts longer than the TE...

Has anyone figured out an optimal setup with Big Reactors yet?

Yes, the spreadsheet is from V0.12A and rather outdated now. Big Reactors V0.30 made a lot of changes to the energy output (and added active cooling), this link should have the new numbers. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ckNzzHQhpgGFHkqNxB7ICrodStiq3fmfsyBFy-Z-smA/edit#gid=0 Your...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

Please don't disable the Aqueous Accumulator, just leave it as expensive as it is right now. And if possible, give Transfer Nodes (Liquid) a similar treatment. Could also use the Storage Cells instead of just the lapis. Things like the AA are a great goal to work towards in end game. Think of...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

A lot of really useful tips, thank you! But also quite a few things, that are not completely optimal. If you don't mind, a runthrough with some thoughts and suggestions. As a general note, the title is "How to Start". Pretty much anything that requires a machine frame (and is not a quest...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

Since it was a blast to play through the 1.0.7 quests during the last days, here the current base. This is really only early game, haven't gotten to machines or automation yet. :)

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

And why on earth would you go through these 4 additional steps, when you can just click on a tank with a bottle/bucket and get the water directly? With 10 leaves/bucket I didn't even bother to run saplings through a transposer, it was that easy. 20 leaves/bucket and I was using both - the...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

I agree completely. I did some balance testing for the early game by changing the config settings during the last couple of days and here my (very subjective) suggestions for @Iskandar. - Crucible: 20 or 25 Leaves into one bucket of water. With only 10 leaves it would be by far the most...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

Doesn't that screw with the beginning of the game, when you have only very limited access to food sources (which only fill a minor amount of hunger bars on top of that)? Just started 1.0.7 and I had to turn some trees into the silkworm version just to survive. And the only reason to kill zombies...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

I also used fences to secure my base. Dug up the block on the outside and also directly below the fence. Then planted Punji Sticks >under<the fence. The base area is 30x50 blocks, every morning I just run a round in the outside pit and collect all drops, usually 5-7 stacks of flesh and 2-3...

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

Crops don't grow during the night. Use the bonemeal during the day and it should work as usual.

My (rather simple) defense for the Hidey-Hole. Works amazingly well so far. :) http://imgur.com/a/SHyp6

Options for base load power generation

It's an enclosed spawner room of very limited size, there is not much pathfinding going on. The spawner in my AgSkies world is 10x20, there are at most 6-8 mobs alive at any given time before they get killed by a grinder. (How many mobs spawn in caves around you for comparison?) That's a...

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

Thanks, guys. All good suggestions. (The second steel item was actually a chisel and there is a wicker man pretty close by.) I guess, now it's time to finally craft some armor and stick the nose out of the hidey-hole. :) Let's see how it goes, but I might still add a recipe to make leather...

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

Is it possible to add a recipe that creates Leather, maybe using Rotten Flesh? Not sure what experience everybody else makes with the progression path. I'm now at a point where I can make Bronze and Damascus Steel. But with the changes to the breeding, cows becoming hostile when attacked and...

Options for base load power generation

An easy setup is a Cursed Earth mob spawner with MFR grinders. Then feed the mob essence and gunpowder into TE's Reactant Dynamos.

Agrarian Skys help, venting, and discussion thread

    - The Acclimatizer gives Temperature and Humidity Tolerance 5 at the cost of some Blaze Powder and Sand. - Apiary and an Oblivion Frame gives you instant breeding cycles which greatly kick-starts the process after you got a new species. - A simple early apiary out in the wilderness with some...

Automating the creation of Liquid Glowstone when engine needs it?

Check YouTube for a tutorial, I think @Bevo also did one not too long ago. It might look confusing at first, but when you get the "programming" right, you can build really easy and elegant designs. The cliff-notes version for your scenario: 1. Craft the manager block (looks like a red cube in...

Automating the creation of Liquid Glowstone when engine needs it?

That sounds expensive. And is there actually a "Craft only" equivalent for Fluid Export buses? Again, SFM might be the cheaper, more modular and more reliable solution. It's probably as easy as using the "Input (Liquid)" block, whitelist Glowstone, right-click and set 250mb as quantity. As...

Automating the creation of Liquid Glowstone when engine needs it?

It can work with any inventory or tank. (You can even specify the side of the inventory/tank to interact with.) The ME Interface counts as inventory, the Fluid Interface is a tank. SFM work really well with the ME system when using these interfaces.
