So, I have direwolves spawning inside my buildings on top of Chiseled Tyrian blocks. I know they follow wolf spawn mechanics from what has been said before, but I wouldn't have thought that Tyrian blocks were valid. Am I missing something?

With the new thaumcraft quests, I'm stuck at 57% done and there aren't any more available to complete. Any hints on what the unlock condition is for the next one? :) Also, how do you unlock the research for the infernal blast furnace? It isn't showing up for me :(

Craft the regular one and open it and then you should be good to open the one with the elven magic.

Are the cables setup to respond to redstone (right click with configurator will tell you) and do you have a redstone signal at that spot?

Is there anything i have to do to get the Thaumcraft obeslisks to show up? I can't seem to find any. Do I just need to go to far away to unexplored chunks? Also, my world wouldn't load at all until I deleted my HQM data in the save :( Just crashed to desktop after telling it to load and saying...

Botania has a way to make spawners work even when you aren't nearby. I haven't tried it yet though so can't say how difficult it is to do.

I second both of those links, been using them for a long time over multiple modpacks and they work great!

There's a quest that rewards with you ghast tears. That's how I did it.
