As I recall you get 10 netherwart as a quest reward for going to the Nether. If not that specific quest it is a quest you have right about then.

The FAQ is missing the greatwood requirement. As I don't maintain it I can't add it. =) But you need greatwood to make the research table and arcane workbench. I believe there is also a hidden quest that auto completes once you hold a greatwood sapling in your inventory. Or at least that was...

Make sure to hold in your hand a shard and a greatwood sapling. Also make sure you've completed the thaumonomicon quest in the chapter that has all the book quests. Finally you may want to read the FAQ In case it covers something I forgot...

I know I can make the axe better. Just haven't really needed to. Someday when I'm bored I'll upgrade it.

When I need lots of wood I wander to my line of 64 oak trees (I plant he saplings adjacent) and hit it with my lumber axe. The only issue is if I got more than a few great oaks in the line it will instantly break my axe. (full iron axe, not the best but good enough)

I ended up killing all chickens and the errors went away. I have no experience with mcedit but will keep that in mind if I get more weird issues. Thanks.

This was the case in .72 as well. I was going to report it but forgot.

Crops are pretty laggy. I find it somewhat common to have half a stutter every time I place a crop. It is better than it was a couple versions of Agricraft ago. So I have hopes of it getting even better in the future. You don't need an oak sapling. The quest states clearly you need 4 saplings...

You can just fill a field, break it all but one, cross crop the field again, rinse and repeat. Yes slower than being able to right-click harvest but garlic seems to grow really fast.

It did work. Somehow I didn't think we had cofh. But we do so I ended up just looking like a derp. Killing the chickens stopped those errors. Didn't help performance though. What helped performance was doing a killall for the 140,000 rogue mana bursts in the world. Currently have a issue open...

Last one I made (different pack) I harvested the wood up to about 20 high then set the rest on fire. Left just a few block which I pillared up to and destroyed manually.

Don't know if golems can fish. My hopperhock knows how to use fishing nets like a champ though. Doesn't even kill the fish all that often.
