Just out of curiosity, is there a way for power from Rotarycraft/Reactorcraft to be safely stored in mass quantities? And if not, is there a way to convert it to an energy type such as EU that can be stored in mass quantities?
Interesting. I've never tried that mod, but I may give it a shot.
Hey there. Long time FTB player returning after a bit of a hiatus. Last time I played this was probably about a year ago, so I'm a little out of touch.
FTB was always super fun, but I'm one of those kinds of players that actively needs a goal to be working towards for me to move forward...
My definition of amazing is how much utility a mod brings to the modpack without completely breaking it. MFR does a fine job of that.
As it stands, I find MFR to be a tiny bit on the cheap side, but I plan on switching to the GT recipes as soon as I get access to them in 1.5.1+.
Ah, you're right.
That's kind of ridiculous, actually. But, oh well. I can always just build a ton more engines. Or just build BC producers out of spite.
I actually use GT quite a lot, just for different things, I suppose. I haven't really gotten into the crafting aspect of AE just yet, so...
MFR is an amazing mod. MFR and AE are tied for my favorite mod right now.
As for power consumption... at full power, my FOUR harvesters run off of 50 mj/t no problemo, but at an input of less than 50 mj/t, my redstone cell starts to drain. This, of course, is taking into account the 5 percent...
My Bio Reactor is the bottleneck in my system. There are too many saplings for it to process, so I had to add a second one so my entire system didn't clog. At that point, efficiency doesn't matter for crap.
Honestly, that'd be really hard to say. There are so many different factors you'd have to take into account.
I don't know that without replicating that exact set up you could really know without doing a great deal of math. I use a copper MFR redwood farm, and it powers 5+ HP boilers, and...
Honestly, the only time creative-versus-survival even matters is if the person in question is showcasing a house made of chrome or something.
Cool designs can be made out of dirt and cobble if you wanted them to, and my DSU has just over a million of that on my survival world, so I don't...
The waypoints remain visible up until 1k blocks away from the marker. Then they disappear.
Rei's waypoints show up from thousands and thousands of blocks away.
I did notice a somewhat substantial FPS increase without Voxel, but I don't know that it'll be nearly as noticeable if I use Rei's instead of just no minimap period.
In my base, the difference is pretty negligible.
Voxel's waypoints aren't even visible past 1k blocks.
There are only a handful of reasons to need waypoints within 1k blocks of wherever you are.
The mystcraft waypoint issue is a valid concern, though.
I recall another person on these forums having a problem with blazes not dropping items not too long ago. In any case, unless the mechanic changed in a newer version that I'm not on yet, Sentry Turrets kills do drop items. I used them to farm wisp essences from a chaotic node.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't walnuts and cherries give a fair amount of seed oil?
I only did a tiny bit of bee keeping, so I only needed a little bit of it, but I remember walnuts giving a moderate amount. Do pumpkins give more than that?
